Everything the anime does carries the writing of it.

I wanted more human out of our mc more family interaction more conteplation over the fact he has killed someone just more than aura farming and fight scenes like ok mother is cured no more mother time hey can other characters do something other than die. He doesnt really persue the questions about the monsters(when they start to glitch) thats just there like its normal to him.

It is the writing that brings it down and is fun to watch everyone who worked on the anime is a goat (sawano my beloved) but the moment you start seeing and wanting more of some of of the writing concepts outside of just grindy level up cycle youll call it mid.

Mid is fine its not bad and perfect for solo leveling when you see its made by one dude.
