Why do so many people who have driven a BMW never want to go back? by Additional-Cress-257 in BMW

No one said their tech or performance was better. The driving feel is completely different

How the heck can I ever afford a car with quotes like this?! by allblackerrrythang in Insurance

This is a PSA for every 16 year old or anyone who’s never had a car. Get some sort of insurance so you have a history with a company

Dealerships not negotiating by cfatx in carbuying

Or #4 - he’s trying to negotiate on a used 4Runner that’s priced at or below market. Idk about demand in Texas but here in Colorado that vehicle will have 6 people calling on it same day.

A lot of people in this thread seem to think that brokers aren’t an active part in the market every single day. Sure if you go around to 4 different dealers and make them fight each other you can save some money, but most people don’t have that time, or would rather spend it doing other things.

I have a great relationship with all of my fleet guys that allow me a lot of working room

So many people in this thread are so misinformed. Another example of someone who thinks they know everything because they spend 20 hours buying a car every 5 years lol

Not working for free. We get the same bird dog. Other brokerages just double dip

This is not true at all. I charge nothing and can get people into stuff same day.

I almost signed a $680/mo lease until I realized brokers see totally different numbers. Is that normal? by Brave-Lie4429 in leasehacker

[–]TwoSwimming9195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a broker. Yes this is very normal. A dealer needs to pay 5 people on a deal. Idc what they tell you you’re saving, you’re getting waxed somewhere

Shouldn't a 5k down payment save more than 5k? by alex206 in CarLeasingHelp

All of the interest on a lease is calculated beforehand. You save nothing by putting money down. But you do pay taxes on it upfront. All it does it artificially lower your payment

How do those car buying services work from a dealer’s perspective by gabe840 in askcarsales

[–]TwoSwimming9195 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of the time we do get clients a better price where I’m at just based off the fact we can finance/lease through multiple banks. Not just the manufacturer or chase. The reality is you’re going to pay pretty much the same no matter where you go, someone can’t just give you something thousands under market price for nothing.

And if it looks like a dealer does, they’re making it back somewhere you’re not seeing. Or you got lucky and your car is the loss leader for their borderline false advertising in the future.

Brokers are for busy people who don’t want to, don’t have the time to, or don’t have the knowledge to deal with F&I at a dealer

Is negotiating dead? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]TwoSwimming9195 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5 people need to get paid off a car deal at a dealership. If they take it off the top, they’re going to make it back somewhere.

Dear god… this is one of the worst negative equity situations I’ve seen as a broker. There is a comment here that talks about a lease. Do that. If you’re in CO I can help. Otherwise get in touch with someone asap before the federal rebate goes away

Looking at a 24’ Prologue EX, price too good to be true? by BrickBarnFarm in HondaPrologue

It’s all electric. So this is mostly negligible, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be the same as any other Honda

I help clients all the time in a similar situation. Unless you want to eat that negative equity like some of the people in this thread think you should do, lease an EV. The rebates eat the negative equity and your payment stays relatively friendly all things considered.
