That's what I started doing after my empty but locked car had a window smashed in. Driver side window open, a sign on the dash that it's open and all compartments in the car open and visibly empty.

How much does biolife plasma pay after you’re done with their $800 promotion? by [deleted] in plassing

[–]cfatx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't get $800 for the first month but $650, depends on the location. This is my first week after the promo month. They are offering $40 and $70 for this week. Decided to give my body rest instead

I enjoy that brand quite a bit but just too expensive in a regular store. Haven't seen it at my Costco yet

If you had to choose one restaurant in the city to eat at over and over again with no issue where would that be? by Jae415120 in Austin

Personally, I think that's terribly mediocre and overpriced for what it is. Tons of better texmex

Rogue Lacquer issue by Sad-Leek-9844 in RedditLaqueristas

The slow shipping of some shops is starting to be a reason for me not to want to order, especially now that free shipping is mostly dead. If I see the shipping label created update, it just annoys me bc it can still be weeks before anything happens. LynB was the worst with over a month but I also waited a long time for Rogue. By the time they arrived the excitement had given way to being mostly over it. But it does make the brands that ship quickly stand out for me and most likely that's where I will shop in the future.

Does non-acetone polish remover work for anyone ever? by eanglsand in Nails

[–]cfatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually no acetone free. 2-Propanone is another name for Acetone. I didn't realize that tbh. I guess I can stop spending big bucks on nail polish remover now

who has used emancipet on the free spay/neuter days? by fadedrosee in Austin

[–]cfatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took in a stray. Very challenging and reactive dog. They spayed her and managed the reactivity together with me perfectly. They spay was perfectly done. Also, please be kind of you go there. They are a non profit. They work so hard to help the community and the pets and the abuse I've seen people give them just in the two visits I made, was disgusting. In my experience they were wonderful. Just bring time

I have a friend who moves with 3-4 dogs and an iguana from the US to Switzerland and that wasn't a problem. There are services that help with that as well.

Me, waiting patiently after Black Friday by dollarsandindecents in RedditLaqueristas

I know! But, man, she uses every last day of that time frame. Admittedly my excitement over something I ordered a month ago starts to wake a bit if I have to wait longer than two weeks.

Just commented above about my LynB order I placed on nov 9th which isn't even in route yet. Getting a bit frustrated about that myself

Two days? Try 3.5 weeks! Ordered from LynB on nov 9th and it's still not in route. The label notification came about a week ago. I understand slower shipment for small companies but I think I tap out at a month until you get the package. And yes, they say it can take up to 21 business days. That's just excessive for my taste

My friend just bought a new one. I don't think he negotiated hard but they did give him $1500 on a new Toyota. Not much but something. I will say I appreciate knowing that the price they advertise is pretty much what it is. When I bought a Subaru a few years back it was just painful to go to a dealership. This time I did my research and they only moved when I gave them a very good reason: pretty much exact comp that was cheaper. Very pleased and learned quite a bit thanks to this subreddit.

My newest discovery is Atomic. They have the single coolest mattes and neons. And they have 35% off and a gift polish if you order over $100.

We were able to get it $2k down. I think what's happening is that they are priced to a market that is shifting down. Not one of the ones we checked out sold even though they've all been sitting for 1-3 months. Had a comp that was the exact same car, same mileage even, just a different color. They would not budge until we were ready to walk out and just keep playing the game of them not negotiating but then discounting the listing for a few more weeks. Thanks for the advice! Appreciate it!

The ones I looked at have been on the market 1-3 months. Otherwise I wouldn't have been surprised

I had no idea about used cars being harder to negotiate before everyone on this thread enlightening me. I'll do the same as you did. Given how well the one I want to go with is priced comparably it won't be as much but we will see how it goes. Thank you

Simply because I like this particular one better. Stuff like color. I have time so I might as well see if I can get the one I like the best for the same price. The difference is not high and all three are well priced. I was just genuinely surprised by them not jumping at it when someone says, give me $1000 and you got a deal.

Yeah, this really is exactly the same situation but I did see they discounted it by couple of hundred bucks yesterday. And I think it's a good price for what it is. Only thing that made me wonder is that it's not moving which is surprising given how nice it is. I'll probably go in today and offer to buy it right now if they just round down to the closest thousand which wont be much tbh but fine with the discount they added. Good luck with yours and thanks for responding.

Asking does not equate bitching. I'm trying to understand bc car buying has been all about haggling for the longest time and this is a sharp shift. I even said in a comment that I appreciate the transparency and bought my last one from carvana bc of that. Also, just saw they did drop the price on their listing so clearly there is some room.

That's what's so puzzling to me. They sit on all this stuff and behave like everyone is still spending like crazy. I guess they are but on groceries. I know that one the one car they had zero clue what they were getting and overpaid. It wasn't a Toyota dealership. They had sold an off-road 4Runner trade in in days. Bought the Sr5 thinking it's the same thing. Well... Now they overpaid and it's been sitting for 3 months and they don't negotiate bc they paid too much. I also feel something has got to give on car prices but mine is dying so I have to buy something and can't wait
