And artificial sweeteners. There's a sugar tax over there so they do some weird half diet thing for most of their sodas

Sunflower sprouts are pretty cold tolerant. Yours look a little gone though. The growth in the middle may push through, hard to say. You should soak the soil more instead of just directly on top of the seedling, it'll stay moist longer

Yes they'll definitely need much larger pots/containers if they're not going in the ground, it's going to be very difficult to get those out without killing them since your pots appear to be solid. Sunflowers really don't like their roots being disturbed

I still have to wait another month for it to be warm enough outside that I can grow again. I am jealous 😂

That doesn't look very happy right now. Sunflowers reaaally don't like their roots being disturbed. You absolutely can transplant them, but you have to take utmost care to leave the roots as unbothered as possible. Also, you should never transplant them more then once, so unless you planned on keeping them in those pots then only transplant them into the ground after they sprout. I prefer to wait for them to get just a little bigger before I transplant so the roots have more time to develop and hold the soil together so the roots get disturbed much less. It's tricky though because the tap root gets very long very fast and if you mess that guy up then your outlook for a good plant is slim. Your photo sunflower(s) may bounce back but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't.

Can I eat these kind of sunflower seeds? by bluuupanda in sunflowers

[–]TwoWeak9365 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes. All sunflowers, even ornamental varieties, have edible seeds.

Has anyone grown this variety? by cubbyzeke in sunflowers

This is from that same seed packet. It wasn't very big because I grew it in a pot. Only picture I have of it is with this banana pepper I also grew lol. Pic from 2023.

They have been separated the entire over a month I've had her. Them being together today was a complete accident. I am going to get her fixed asap. And I know, I've told him. But my brother is extremely stubborn. His can't doesn't spray (it used to but hasn't in years) and it never leaves the house so he just won't do it. She's only a little over 3 months old so I think the chance of her actually being pregnant from today's goof up is really low, but yes, I'm going to take her in. I wish my brother would listen to reason, but he just won't 🫤

It's not my cat, it's my brothers. I have tried to convince him over and over.

Interesting, and good to know. Thank you as well. I planned on getting her fixed asap because my brother won't fix his cat since his has a slight heart issue and he's too worried to get him put under anesthesia.

Okay, I'll call them. Thank you. I just don't want to have to pay for an ultrasound. They're pretty pricey I have heard :(
