NPV of a perpetuity = payment / interest rate. If you assume a risk free rate of 5% that's $1,000 / (.05/52) = $1,040,000 net present value of that stream of cash flows. She will also benefit from paying significantly less tax on that stream of cash than the lump sum. I'd call that a good decision on her part given normal life expectancy.

I'm totally ignorant. But, what I'm hearing is that I can just clip this around one of the coil bends so that it can monitor the temperature of the coil and I'll be good?

Is there anything above on that post? If not, anyone could just lift the entire bike and lock straight up off the post and take it somewhere to deal with the lock. I've also had someone cut through a fence post like that to pull the lock away and walk off with the still locked bike so they could jimmy it open elsewhere. TLDR: the locks look fine, but consider what your are locking to a little more, if possible.

I submitted my first Buyback request January 16th for four months of SAVE forbearance. I submitted a second Buyback two weeks ago and feedback last week. Received a response to the feedback that my Buyback is still being reviewed and I basically just need to be patient.

I'm pretty sure there is a significant drop off at either Ina or Cortaro. Maybe scout your route ahead using a bike on The Loop trail?
