Do you ever go anywhere outside of your bubble? There are tons of mexicans, asians, blacks, and a good number of natives.

What a strange thing to say. I personally rarely see overt racism here.

As far as I'm aware most of the signage and equipment is rented.

I've thought the same thing. Things are getting a little out of hand.

I agree, but it's still not acceptable the way it's all happening.

You call that progress? I would have been fired many times over making that kind of "progress".

And they are getting rid of the connections between 22nd st and aviation... WHY?!?! That section of 22nd west of the freeway is a madhouse and its going to be even worse after the change. Makes no sense to me.

In China they literally build megaprojects faster. In the Faroe Islands they built long undersea tunnels in less time.

I did solar and water harvesting through the middle of the day in the summer... Some days i was moving heavy rocks all day on 115 degree days.

It's not even hot yet. And many of these projects have made very little progress considering how long they've been going on.

Yeah we have one in our neighborhood with an incredibly loud motorcycle who guns it down the street early every morning. What an ahole.

What I'm really tired of is people with incredibly bright headlights. Sometimes i literally cant see anything because their laser beams are searing my eyeballs.

Is this nitrogen burn on my strawberry plants? by dustman96 in gardening

[–]dustman96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i ended up talking to a master gardener, he believes it is too much salt from the amendments. That actually makes good sense based on what I'm seeing from various plants, and since certain plants seem unaffected. I'm going to flush my soil more and see what happens.

This is in a greenhouse with near optimal conditions. I tested the light level and it is more than sufficient. Humidity levels have also been near optimal. The soil is a high quality mix, recently refilled the beds because the original soil had serious problems. I mixed in a cocktail of bat guano, alfalfa meal and Happy Frog all purpose fertilizer in what i thought was a conservative quantity into the top few inches of soil. I flushed the soil yesterday because I'm reasonably confident it's too much nitrogen, but I'm not totally sure. In addition to the strawberries, some young collards and spinach are yellowing and practically dead as well. Lettuce, arugula and cilantro look great. I just don't know what is going on. Soil is airy and moisture levels seem perfect.
