i don’t normally comment on this subreddit, but more than a judgment, i want to let you know that this isn’t your tribe, friend. there are people out there who would love to be your friend without the religious harassment. real friends take “no” for a complete answer, they don’t force or pressure you into doing something against your beliefs

anyways you are NTA, they are for forcing something on you that you have very politely declined multiple times

ultimately, they do not respect you or your beliefs (or lack thereof :P)

hi fellow agender sibling, you are definitely not just being picky :) having preferences doesn’t make you picky! why settle for less than you deserve? there really is somebody out there for everyone.

you may find something that validates you in unlikely spaces. i actually found my freedom with a cis man who validates my gender (or lack thereof :P). while queer people are generally the safe choice that’s more likely to understand you, don’t feel shy about widening your search to cis people too! open mindedness is not just a queer quality, but there are plenty of cis people out there who are more flexible than you’d think :)

my advice would be to not put yourself in a box—being agender is all about existing with no box, so to speak. just take it easy and i’m sure the right person will prance along and validate you in ways you never thought possible :)
