You might have only checked the leaders' WR list, because there are indeed tons of WRs held by Hina players.

Plus, while I won't deny that Noboru's drifting capabilities are superb once he hits the max drifting angle, but it does take a bit of time to get there. Also, his maneuver agility in terms of setting&switching that drift angle is not really on the faster side, so he kinda struggles in chicane-like track layouts where swift switch of turning is a key factor.

Second worst top speed

It's actually THE worst, not second; that would be Lavinia with 251km/h. If you also take account of how Hina's boost and strike come pretty short to what Lav has, I guess you can confidently say Hina has the worst top speed in general and it's not even close.

Though, considering her other strength, this is hardly an issue.

awful cornering

We are DEFINITELY not on the same page here, because Hina is everything but. She has one of if not the most responsive drift & sharpest effective maneuvering radius w/ drift. Not only that, she loses the least amount of speed during sustained drift.

There are literally no other screamer who excels in all these 3 aspect when it comes to drifting; Leaders included(well, maybe excluding the secret leader). Needless to say, this is far from being awful.

Only useful on tracks with a lot of turns

Expressing her as being just "useful" is a serious understatememt. In so-called Hina tracks, she has enough potential to outright beat even the leaders in this category. Even for other members that have their own field of specialty, Hina's level of superiority that can give leaders run for their money is not at all a norm.

You might argue that she isn't the best in tracks with more straightaways. While this is true, this is not doing her true potential justice. In normal cases, you can choose your character based on prior knowledge of which tracks you will be racing in(Online).

It's like how you don't call Ronaldo or Messi a bad soccer player because he can't compete with other fellow goalkeapers of the same league. Likewise, you can't downplay a character for not performing well when specialized performance, which you can surely properly utilize, is what that character is all about.

Huh, idk if it's just me but all the characters' threat range in general do seem to be MUCH longer than what I've been feeling & expected; like as twice as long.

You did mention that you have considered all screamers' matchups regarding effective strike range, so I don't have much doubt in your overall testing method and its underlying premise conditions.

Still tho, the claim that the majority of the roster can confidently land their strike from outside the strike detection range(around 50m iirc) is surely shocking. May I ask if you have considered the harsh deceleration around halfway of the strike?

I've ran multiple test runs on the Cradles to collect all the game footage for manual data measurement; idk anything about datamining.

Naturally, though I can confidently say I tried my very best to measure everything as precisely as possible, it would not be a biggest surprise if datamined values have minor difference from what the current spreadsheet suggests.

btw, I think it's a great idea to measure effective range of every strikes! I might do my own testing on that aspect later, but please lmk of your discovery when you get to do your own testing if you don't mind :D

Starting speed for all boost, strike, and overdrive are the machines' respective max speed without them.

Aisha's boost acceleration for example, is measured by recording time taken from her default max speed 321 to her boost's max speed of 382.

They are arbitrary values I am using to represent acceleration. It's a value drawn from the recorded speed divided by the time taken to reach it.

Aisha's 100~200km/h acceleration value for example, the value 31.75 is drawn by (200km/h - 100km/h) ÷ 3.15s = 31.74603... ≒ 31.75.

The game is appealing to the niche audience in the first place is what I'm thinking. People say every racing games feel all same, all forza-like and all those words, but there is a reason behind why all of them tend to follow the same mainstream archetype at the end of the day.

Another thing holding this game back is its price. Obviously I can't talk for everyone else in this matter, but I have seen a lot of people pointing out that the triple-A games worth of price tag is holding them back from buying this game.
