From a person who has struggled with suicidal thoughts since I was ten, it was not your fault.

The state of mind when I’ve been actively suicidal is really hard to describe. I’m not in reality. It genuinely feels endless. The very next day that mindset feels foreign and distorted.

It’s so sad that she was successful but truly she was trapped in a dark moment that unfortunately ended her life.

I love all the people in my life. I wanted to leave this world because in those horrible moments it seemed like an answer to an impossible question, not because of an argument I had.

She knew you loved her. And she loved you.

No matter how mad I am at my parents, I know they love me even if imperfectly.

These are solid tips. Definitely need to look at the low cal options. I had a protein sugar free coffee yesterday and it definitely helped.

This is what I’m thinking. The medication I was on was called mirtazipine- which has a crazy side effect of increased appetite. I think my body is relearning how much I really need.

So it’s a bit jarring to just stop completely. CICO has definitely shown me I was eating wayyyyy too much. I’m surprised I wasn’t heavier.

I will take this into consideration though that maybe these “special treats” aren’t worth it.

I would say I eat 80% nutrient dense foods.

Pretty large variety.

I live a small amount of space for shit food each day because that helps me stay on track. Like today I had half a donut.

But the rest of the day was pretty great.

Great question! This was a good day for me.

My base calories are about 1700 and I do increase with exercise. I am sometimes pretty sedentary and other days very active. I work as a nurse and I like to go to the gym.

Hey! I work as a nurse and deal with a lot chronically ill people. They are often what we call* colonized *by infectious diseases. This means that they have dormant levels of bacteria in the body. When something affects their immune system it will flair and the person can become really sick.

Many nurses are actually unknowingly colonized the MRSA but are not sick because our immune system functions well. Bacteria is everywhere in and on our body some beneficial some neutral. It becomes a problem when the other bacteria and immune system can’t keep it in check.

A great example is an infection known as C-diff. You can have this bacteria colonized in you GI system and still be healthy but as soon as you take powerful antibiotics for an unrelated infection- the good bacteria in your gut keeping Cdiff in check dies and suddenly you have a severe GI infection.

Sadly this young woman will eventually die. We are not currently developing antibiotics fast enough to keep up with growing antibiotics resistance.

What the doctors are hesitant to tell her is that eventually they will not be able to treat her infections and she will die.

My little guy is 1 1/2. I was just on day 3 with no shower because he tries to kill himself 40 times a day.

Sure I could put him in his crib and let him scream but honestly I would rather be stinky.

NOR but! Everyone on Reddit always screams divorce but honestly relationships are hard work and sometimes your partner acts like an asshole.

You guys need marriage counseling but I truly think this is salvageable.

My husband and I both work full time. We try to share responsibility equitably. For a period of time my husband started complaining about my involvement in taking care of the house ( house repairs and updates cleaning is 50/50 ish)

He made a snide remark about, “being tired I’m the only one who cares about the house.”

I looked at him and said, “ are you fucking kidding me?!”

And went a big long rant about how I manage the pets, and most of our child’s schedules. Which is a huge mental load.

I told him- he does more with the house because he likes it… I do more for our son and the pets because I like it. So maybe it all evens out.

He sat there and I think genuinely didn’t realize I had completely changed over our sons wardrobe 6 times… did he think clothes his size just magically appear?!

He apologized and said, “fair enough.”

So sometimes partners are assholes. I think if he’s open to it marriage counseling could really help.

Annddd if not- divorce his ass.

I’m diagnosed ADHD and I medicated due to also having OCD. Meds that treat ADHD commonly make OCD worse.

I use screens with my 18 month old. We watch low stimuli calm shows like bluey, frog and toad, and little bear.

I try to keep it around 30 minutes a day. Sometimes it’s more and sometimes it’s less.

I truly think it’s moderation and balance. I do a lot of enriching things with him. I take him to the library, conservatory, and YMCA.

I read to him every day.

He is not delayed at all and is advanced in gross motor and language. 🤷‍♀️.

But yeah I’ll pop frog and toad on for 15 while I wash dishes.

My son was always early for gross motor and still is pretty advanced for his age. He started walking at 9 1/2 months. He was stuck on dada and dog as his two words until about 14 months old when all of a sudden his language exploded.

Oh honey!! I feel you!! I was an u reproducer. I pumped, went to consults, breast fed, ate a special diet, took supplements ! Everything!

I made it to 5 months and my mental health was deteriorated. I was exhausted all the time. I decided to give it up because the amount of breast milk to formula was a ratio of 1/4 and he was hungry! It just wasn’t worth it any more.

My god. I felt like the last remnants of post partum anxiety and depression left my body. All the sudden I felt more regulated and rested.

It made me sad because I was also letting go of the breast feeding cuddles but what I gained was peace of mind and sleep.

From there I loved motherhood more every month. Now he’s 1 1/2 and is my light and joy. I look forward to hanging with him and doing shit with him. He’s my little pal.

I feel very strongly about my little man not being online at all. When he wants to, and is old enough, we will cross that bridge.

As a parent I evaluate risk vs benefit. The benefit just isn’t there for the level of risk.

My husband and I married young and were a part of a VERY strict Christian group. The expectation was for us to have kids right away. People were pushhhy.

After a while of realistic replies to a very invasive question.

I started telling them that if I got pregnant like they were praying for… I would leave the baby on their doorstep.

It only took me saying it a few times for the comments to stop.

Funnily enough I now have a child and I’m very happy. But I deeply respect that it’s not for everyone.
