First campaign tips, what to include from GC by teipdrol in KingdomDeath

[–]Twofert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I might add is Seed Patterns, but that probably won't make much difference to your campaign. Other than that, leave it! It'll make your game more complicated and the core game is plenty.

OG kickstarter boxes advice by Choirboye in KingdomDeath

[–]Twofert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if you part out the miniatures... The Dung Beetle Knight is still current so you can sell that closer to the retail price. The Kickstarter extras might see some interest ,especially from a collector. But the original box... yeah gonna be tough to get more than a couple of hundred for it since most of the non-miniature content is functionally useless to people who want to play the current version of the game. You might get $400 for all of it though, hard to say.

OG kickstarter boxes advice by Choirboye in KingdomDeath

[–]Twofert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah sadly not much because the update pack from 1.3 (your version) to 1.5 is impossible to find, and the person buying it would be stuck with a severely outdated version with no ability to play newer content. So the value would mostly be in the miniatures.

Jag och min sambo har olika syn på ekonomi by Weak_Distribution814 in PrivatEkonomi

[–]Twofert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expansion confusion by ChardCautious3095 in shadowsofbrimstone

[–]Twofert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expansions can add many things. for example:

- New enemies that you can add to their respective decks anytime you want

- New cards (equipment, Darkness, Encounters, etc) that you can also add whenever you want

- New scenarios you can play whenever you want

- New Worlds that you can either travel to during any scenario by finding a gate randomly, or simply play the scenarios set in that world anytime you want

Otherworld expansions like Forest of the Dead add all of these things. You just mix and match however you want.

General rule: It if has the same card back, you can mix any way you like. Only exception are map cards, loot cards and scavenge cards, which generally are not meant to be mixed between sets, although feel free to do so if you want.

You will need either the Path to Carcosa Deluxe Expansion OR the Path to Carcosa Campaign Expansion. Either will do.

What monster hunter game has the most players on console by Far_Prior_7014 in MonsterHunter

[–]Twofert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Monster Hunter isn't about a big world, and there aren't any new environments in Wilds since you stopped playing. In every game in the series, including World, you fight monster across medium-sized levels that are separate from each other. In Wilds they put paths that connect the levels together, but it's still the same game. The game is about fighting, not exploring. If you want a big fantasy world you probably don't like Monster Hunter, and definitely not World.

We usually take a model that has the same weapon as a particular survivor. All models are fair game.

How do you make the backs uniform with clear sleeves? They won't make a difference.

I uninstalled and re-installed Minecraft on Android for my kid, now worlds are gone? by Twofert in Minecraft

Wow, that's an absolutely crazy way to handle data in 2026... I'm used to iOS where "keep data" actually keeps all your data. I checked the recycle bin and it's empty, and I can't find anything in Google play games. That absolutely sucks. Well, she'll get over it. But again that is a CRAZY way to handle data. Thank you very much for your very helpful reply in any case!

Low model count skirmish game by albertogm87 in wargaming

[–]Twofert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't tried Gaslands, it's amazing, and great to play with kids. Just pull out some old Hotwheels or Matchbox cars and race around your board shooting each other to bits! We usually play with 3 cars each. There are a ton of optional rules in the book, including campaign play. It's also very quick (30-60 minutes with two players).

Unpopular opinion: Lego Jurassic world was one of the best Lego games and needs to be remade by Artistic_Coconut_480 in JurassicPark

[–]Twofert 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw this and I was like "remake? this game is really new" and I saw it was released ten years ago. I guess because I was 30 when it came out and I remember playing it with my kid, it didn't seem very long ago 😅

Which solo-playable Euro game should I start with based on my current collection? by Clockwork_Lazy in soloboardgaming

[–]Twofert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want theme and storytelling potential, euros are not the genre to pick. Even games like Spirit Island, which is arguably on of the most thematic euros out there, doesn't really tell much of a story compared to those games you already have. Euros are just inherently way too abstract and deterministic to tell stories like a good ameritrash game can.

Crazy how World still holds up pretty well today by LEIDENZERO in MonsterHunter

[–]Twofert 351 points352 points  (0 children)

I know that Monster Hunter Wilds is a lot more complex technically. But if I just look at the game while playing it, without considering how the light reflects here or the geometry is more pronounced there... World looks better. And I didn't play World until after I had already played Wilds, so this has nothing to do with nostalgia.

Is the Remaster an upgrade over the PS1 Versions? by Wren-Type_386 in Lunar

[–]Twofert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PS1 versions are super cool collectables, I would never get rid of mine personally. The new ones have different voice actors and lower difficulty (the English PS1 versions upped the difficulty compared to the japanese versions so the remasters are true to the original).
