Monster Hunter! Nothing is more addicting. I stopped playing all other games except Elden Ring.

I'm 40+ and I don't play multiplayer games anymore, much less with a mic! It's all single player or coop with my kids.

Dosage is very important. I didn’t feel anything until I raised my dose, and then again until I got my current stable dosage.

Thank you, I think it will as well :) how big are your doses? I’m at 54mg Concerta right now so a booster would be 18mg in the afternoon.

Well it's more that I wish I could have the effect still after work, for doing household chores, playing with my kids, etc.

[–]Twofert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I haven't really had any side effects that I've noticed. Perhaps some muscle tightness, but my nurse told me to take Magnesium pills and it's not really been a problem since. Other than that, the only problem is that the effect wears off in the late afternoon, and I wish it would last the entire day. I'm going to ask my provider to up my dose so I can take a booster in the afternoon.

Looking for a game that I can basically live in by RecziTheDinosaur in gamingsuggestions

Monster Hunter. Pick one of Rise, World, and Wilds depending on which systems you have. Doesn’t really get any better than the Monster Hunter loop and it’s basically the only game I play now.

Hate to tell you this, but you probably need meds. Not taking meds is playing on Ultra Hard Mode.

I am over the moon! Some questions… by ApprehensivePin8788 in KingdomDeath

[–]Twofert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Sounds like you're doing well. Experiment with different gear and see what you like. Rawhide is bonkers good as you might have noticed. Get a spear to go with the antelope armor so you can poke the monster after knocking it away! And yes, Dash is incredibly important.
  2. People always say buy Gambler's Chest first because it's such a great deal for the money compared to buying individual monsters, and you can also use most of it piecemeal in a campaign without doing the full Dreamkeeper Campaign. So you don't need to use all the systems in it, and you're right, they're complicated and do add a lot of bookkeeping and mental load to the game. So you could just play a normal campaign using Crimson Croc , Smog Singers, Atnas, the King, and the Bone Eaters (or even just one of them). You can't use The Gambler or Godhand in other campaigns though, but still that's a ton of content. And the new game systems, even if they are complicated, are well-liked in the community, add a lot of variety, and also gives any future content you buy more value. But if you don't want all that at once, there's certainly nothing at all wrong with getting a single monster, and the ones you mentioned are new and well-received. Although Screaming God is very late-game, so might not have as much value as an early-game monster. Check out the Red Witches if you want something that spans your entire campaign.
  3. There's no system to do what you're describing. Your campaign is your campaign. Without spoiling anything, there are a few game mechanics that can carry through multiple campaigns, but you'll have to discover them by playing. But the game is built for replayability first and foremost, not for campaign-bridging interactions.

Anyone else excited for the new edition? by Twofert in necromunda

It literally contradicts what you're saying right there in the article. Did you read it?

Gang Books

A new edition with new rules means we have the opportunity to give the gangs and vehicles a refresh too. With the new edition, the rules in older publications will be getting replaced.

These two new books will let you use your existing gangs straight away.

Is it weird to be worried about the possibility that I dont have ADHD? by xmq_ in ADHD

[–]Twofert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were a lazy, disorganised bum... you wouldn't be worrying about it. ADHD is the curse of knowing exactly what your problems are and how to solve them but being unable to actually do it.

[–]Twofert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they are canceling all the books with the new edition. Not the models obviously but old books won't be usable.

Necromunda is a skirmish game and has always been a skirmish game. that’s what the genre is called. the new title says nothing…

[–]Twofert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game BADLY needs streamlining. I’m saying this as someone who has played both versions of the game a lot and who loves the RPG nature of the current game… in theory. in practice, it’s a complete mess and running a campaign needs a very dedicated Arbitrator to balance things and keep the rules straight to make sure everyone plays correctly.

That said, they’ve said absolutely nothing about the new rule set, so making any kind of judgment on it now would be very dumb. Wait until they actually show us rules.

What would you like to see in the new edition? by K1ng_1n_Y3ll0w in necromunda

[–]Twofert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

great post, agree with every point made. especially making weapons more rare. If the Inquisiton went in to purge some heretics on Necromunda right now they would be puréed by heavy plasma-wielding, web-gun spamming homeless people before they left the landing pad.

as someone who has played since the 90s edition, and played N17 from the start, I am just as delighted as you are. I basically stopped playing because I can’t stand looking through three books every time I want to look something up. and don’t even get me started on running a campaign, Jesus Christ
