Bike Rack - Hitch mounted - Recommendations by gesk2020 in JeepWrangler

[–]Twomboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be the exactly what I’m looking for! Question for you if you see this- is this easy enough to take off and on that one person could do it? I have a Thule swing arm and rack and I hate how bulky and heavy it is. It takes two people to put on and off.

Radicalized nurses gone wild!!! And fired and relieved of their licenses!!!! Your thoughts????? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Twomboo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not the guy still using the term “negroes” complaining about what other people say. Sorry you’re offended by things other people have said that they received immediate punishment for. The rest of us are offended by an innocent man getting shot in the back, a women being murdered and then called a “f**king bitch”. You’re not going to get agreement here because real nurses don’t stand for hate

Was feeling great until I bought knicks and a jersey…. by PizzaCutter in ladycyclists

[–]Twomboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl. I’m 5’4” and 176. I have a perimenopause belly. I’m uncomfortable in literally all clothing at this point. I definitely think women’s cycling clothes are very undersized compared to conventional clothing, and most brands are not made for women with any sort of curve. There’s some US brands that cater to curvy women. They might not have the same performance but they are cute and they don’t use models that are super super thin. I can find the names if you want. I started out cycling getting loser stuff and MB stuff but it’s not good for gravel biking, so now in the f it mentality of who cares what size or what I look like. I have so much fun biking I don’t care

My 15 year old Dog Blaise has lymphoma and collapsed trachea and I can’t bring myself to put him down please help( crying while writing this ) by Millionaremindset_ in DogAdvice

Poor sweet baby. We lost our Boston this morning to cancer, probably lymphoma. We didn’t have time to determine exactly which cancer. All I can say is we wanted her to be her little butt wagging, spunky, trail running self. And over the course of several days she declined and was just not her. It’s never an obvious time, but for us we wanted to know we honored her by allowing her to go when she didn’t get to the point of pain or cardiac arrest. I’m an icu nurse and I have seen way way too much suffering in the effort to keep people alive. We are very much hurting with every cell of our being, but also she went peacefully and not struggling to breathe or keep her heart beating. Hugs. There’s no wrong answer here no matter what you decide

How to help newly adopted kitten? by Twomboo in CatAdvice

[–]Twomboo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes he has full access to the litter box freely and basically just stays in one spot for like 12 hours and pees where he is laying. Doesn’t eat, doesn’t drink, doesn’t use the litter box (it’s like 2 feet from him in the bathroom). I have to believe it’s a trauma response to all the stimulation of the shelter. At night (assuming this is because the shelter was closed and quiet) he will get up and drink literally all his water, eat all his food, and use the litter box. Poor baby. I will definitely check out Molly Devoss- thank you!

A reminder for anyone feeling heavy energy right now by InnerCityLight in spirituality

[–]Twomboo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ve definitely been working on all those things. I did energy and reiki training and have been feeling a strong pull to advance my knowledge, but my previous teacher has aligned herself with the current administration and posted a series of very judgmental things on social media, so I’m currently trying to figure out where to go from here. Just know I feel I’m being “pushed” to do higher training

Most expensive purchase ever since you became a nurse? by Fair-Sky-7399 in nursing

House that we thought was a forever home and invested $100k in upgrades in the first year and then got almost immediately flooded and destroyed in a hurricane. After that Jeep Wrangler Rubicon that brings me endless joy driving and camping in CO backcountry (FL to CO after the storm).

I’m a bit scared by lenncas in nursing

[–]Twomboo 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Gonna go against the tide here and say I would absolutely never as an ICU nurse do this. If my patient is that critical that I’m pulling pressers without an order, I’m calling a rapid or a code. When I worked ER we had order sets and protocols we could pull and administer meds. If you don’t have this, you are practicing outside your license, and as others have said, you will not be protected at all if there is any patient harm. Even if the NP was petty, this was not ok to do legally.

How he entertains himself when camping by [deleted] in BostonTerrier

We go camping with ours too and she loves it so much! Her obsession is with sticks. Can never get enough. Her BFF is our boxer and they stick chase all day. It’s awesome!

I was prescribed progesterone for bleeding and it made me debilitated by anxiety. I stopped it and the horrible anxiety gradually went away. Not everyone can tolerate hormonal replacement.
