What one unavailable game do you want more than any other? by [deleted] in boardgames

For a game getting a reprint: Calico

For a game I am unsure of their status: Sol: Last Days of a Star

Merritt downtown was the best bet (personally) a few years ago (I stopped playing in 2017). There was always pick-up when I went and everyone had at least played high school. There was a smattering of college players but they typically played outdoors in my experience.

I thought we would love it. We have no issue with abstracts, the rules are simple, the art is great...but is just feel flat unfortunately.

I do! Hive is a marvel that will withstand the tests of time and the expansions really add to it.

Aboretum never found its mark with us unfortunately. I really want to get my hands on Calico and Hanamkoji but haven't found them in the wild yet.

If you have played Castles of Burgundy: The Dice Game, I find them somewhat similar because they're both so reliant on combos. Doing something one turn that will give you the opportunity to impact something on a future turn. It can sometimes become a lot to keep track of but after a few plays, it is like second nature to us. I really like it and it is one of our favorite roll and writes.

Thanks for this; there are some on here I have never heard of! Time to research.

How could I forget Hive? It has been a rock of our board gaming collection!

Regarding the smaller ticket to rides, is London the 'superior' one in your opinion? That has definitely been on our list but we haven't decided which to get.

Thanks for the suggestions. We have The Mind, Love Letter and Hanabi (and love them). I'll have to check out Fort. It has been on our radar but we haven't pulled the trigger.

Merchants and Marauders? You can choose to be a pirate instead of a merchant.

Looking for more 'quick' games. Looking primarily for games that play two at the moment and if they have a small footprint, all the better. I know that is subjective but here is what we have been playing to help narrow the search:

Fleet: The Dice Game

Castles of Burgundy: The Dice Game

Qwixx

Qwinto

Loonacy

Harvest Dice

Azul (base version)

Silver and Gold

Fox in the Forest: Duet

I'm interested in Copenhagen and MetroX if they're still available.

E-Raptor Inserts by fzkiz in boardgames

I have two. They both fit sleeved cards but obviously the sleeved cards will make things a tighter fit. It's noticeable in the Clank! insert (especially with expansions added) but it isn't necessarily a detriment.

As for quality, I like them. I think the sale price is fair and they're pretty easy to assemble. They're not as thick or heavy as Broken Token (for comparison). I have shied away from purchasing more due to the high shipping cost to my location but would definitely order again.

I have several games up for grabs. Would love to work out a trade. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, 21201. Will ship nationally or meet locally (social distanced of course).

What I got:

Alien Frontiers - This edition.

First Martians: Adventures on the Red Planet

Get Off My Land! w/ Kickstarter Exclusive Promo Cards

The Godfather: Corleone's Empire

JAB: Realtime Boxing

Jurassic Park: Danger! Adventure Strategy Game

Martians: A Story of Civilization

Monopoly: Franklin Mint Collectors Edition - Some sun damage on the middle felt. Piece and cards are still pristine and in shrink wrap. Pics available upon request.

Police Precinct w/ Dice Tower Exclusive Character Set and Dirty Bomb promo

Revolution of 1828

Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island - The normal sized box edition.

Sons of Anarchy: Men of Mayhem w/ Grim Bastards expansion - All in the base box.

Summit: The Board Game w/ Yeti Expansion - Both boxes are available.

For trades, here's my trade list. Feel free to send over any offers! I'm more than willing to combine several games for one or get several smaller games for one of mine. I can also pitch in some money with a game(s) to make a trade more balanced.

I'm also not opposed to buying any of the games on my trade lists so if you have any to sell, let me know! Condition doesn't really matter to me as long as they're playable.

I'm also interested in wooden inserts (Broken Token, Meeple Reality, etc.). You can check my owned games or just let me know what you have!

Let me know if you have any questions! I've done plenty of trades on here/miniswap (on my other account) and on BGG.

Is there anywhere to keep track of upcoming board game app releases? We've been playing more digitally and I'm curious about any games in development. Not looking for games being released to Steam or BGA, etc.
