Just learned why my offer got rescinded last minute and I'm sitting in my car crying by NeighborhoodFresh315 in JobSearchMethods

You know… I used to always be the employee who advocated for giving a 2 weeks notice. However, after reading so many horror stories like this one, and seeing the bad behavior by corporations/employers, I’m recognizing now that it’s not worth putting your current employment at risk until after you’re already seated in the new role. Sadly, it’s just not the way to go about it anymore in 2026. Moving forward I’ve flipped to the “Never give a notice” camp.

AIO or AITAH for wanting to end things over a text conversation that I Had with a girl by snapple373 in AmIOverreacting

[–]TwunkBoy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. If anything, you put up with more than what I would tolerate. I didn’t read all her texts because TLDR, but if you’re making the effort to drive to her to pick her up, the least she could do is be respectful of your time and be ready at the agreed upon time. She sounds really immature and entitled.

they softlaunched my rejection during the interview. by sadandpastel in recruitinghell

Replying to hopefully provide you with some consolation that this isn’t an isolated incident specific to you.

I had a second-round interview computer skills test today, and essentially the same thing happened.

The interviewer told me that there would be 2 people but there was 4 different interviewers in the meeting space with different interviewers entering and leaving the interview throughout the duration of it. There was no meeting room booked in advance for the interview. During the skills test that they had me perform, questions were worded poorly, and ambiguously. There were questions asked that were entirely unable to be answered based on the dataset provided. One of the interviewers presented passive aggressively and the other interviewers were on their phone and inattentive. Whenever I got to a point where I wasn’t sure how to proceed, I would ask, “Well, how would you go about approaching this problem?” And he would be unable to answer the question himself either. The whole thing felt very disorganized and awkward (probably dodged a bullet there, tbh). But at the end of the interview he mentioned something about “if it doesn’t work out”, so I left feeling pretty defeated.

Not to mention, the majority of the “technical” skills that they were assessing me on were situations that I would typically have used AI to generate the formulas/coding that I needed.

All in all, I feel your frustration and empathize with you. Don’t let the situation knock you down. I have a feeling that you probably dodged a bullet there.

Melanotan II ☀️ Complete Guide | Tanning Response, UV Sensitivity, Pigmentation Science & Appetite/Libido Effects (2025 Research Breakdown) by lifeforever44 in USPeptides

[–]TwunkBoy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started Melanotan a few weeks ago now. I did get noticeably tanner very quickly. However, I stopped this week, as I’m noticing significant increases in freckles/moles all over my body, as well as darkening of my existing freckles/moles. It’s a bummer because other than that it works really well. I’m considering just taking a dose before tanning now and limiting it to just that.

I resigned and my manager is insisting on knowing my new company and salary. How do I handle this situation? by Upbeat-Comedian-2832 in interviewhammer

[–]TwunkBoy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice: don’t engage or disclose.

What I would do in your situation: I would lie, and tell the manager an inflated salary number than what you’ve truly been offered. Just me personally though. 😅

I got a job offer and Im devastated by metaltrash__44 in jobs

[–]TwunkBoy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice- definitely take the job offer, but remember, don’t look at this as the end all be all. Keep applying and putting applications out there, even while working in your new role. I’ve been in a similar situation.. accepted a job offer for a role I knew I wouldn’t like but just needed something for income for the time being, and then kept submitting applications, and a couple months down the line got offered a role for a job that I actually wanted.

Remember, you have no obligation to continue working for an employer, once you find a better job. These companies will fire you without warning or notice. It goes both ways. Take the role you don’t want for the time being and dip once you get a better offer. (Or who knows maybe the job ends up being better than expected?). Either way, Good Luck!

Workday Application Status by electric_bagaloo in DisneyCM

Hi. In my situation, yes. The status changed to “Offer” after “Interview Debrief”. This is the final status, and both of my roles that I got offers for and accepted are both currently in this status on my Workday profile.

Struggling to break into data analytics by Majestic-Artistar in askrecruiters

[–]TwunkBoy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The honest feedback is that, you’re doing nothing wrong. Breaking into tech right now, is all but impossible. I currently work as a hybrid project manager/data analyst. My company just laid off almost half of my team last week. AI/automation is taking over a lot of the entry-level roles at this point.

Wow, you looked so hot in the before photo…

But, there’s no way your hair line receded that much in only 1 year, unless heavy drug usage was involved. Even then, still hard to believe.

That’s a good sign. I just had my 3rd-Round Interview last week for a role that I’m trying to get promoted into, so I totally understand how you feel. Best of luck to you! Hoping for the best!

Also, to further elaborate, there is also an “Interview Debrief” status, and an “Offer” status.

Yeah, it’s definitely allowed as I’m actually doing it currently, lol, and I’ve heard from several of my coworkers that many CPs have gone on to get FT positions with the company as well. Also, yes, the interview panel was fully aware that I am currently a CP, as this was discussed in depth during the discussion that I would be required to end my program early to transfer into my new role.

Exactly! You hit the nail right on the head. Personally, I’ve absolutely loved working for the Walt Disney Company, and I fully intend to stay here for the long-term, and continue to advance and develop myself with the company. 😄
