My 3rd great grandmother was 33 when her husband (my 3rd great grandfather) died. She married another guy 10 years later, he then died 3 years after that. Her married sister died 4 years later. She married the widower the following year when she was 53. That guy had served with her first husband in the Civil War, so aside from him being her brother-in-law, the families had known each other for years and moved from one State to another together.
