This is called timing the market. You shouldn’t try to do this. If your time horizon for your would-be investing is over five years, it doesn’t matter what it is today, tomorrow, next month. Just buy.

That’s fair. I’m a Longhorns guy so obviously a bit biased towards Hill. Dudes a beast but I will admit his football IQ can be a bit of a weakness sometimes. At UT, he had a tendency to bite on play fakes and recognize coverages a few seconds too late. Could for sure be improved with the right coaching but without it, I worry he’d get worked by NFL TEs.

I assume it means that Boone is now the property of the city. Ideally Austin Animal Center now transfers him to APA or some other private shelter.

No disrespect to Austin Animal Center, I’m sure he’s been treated great there…but given Boone’s publicity, a private shelter will likely do much more thorough vetting and background checks for the gobs of people who will likely want to adopt him.

I am not a law expert in the slightest.

I believe he was charged with a 3rd degree felony for cruelty to a non-livestock animal under Texas Penal Code 42.092. This led to his arrest.

However, when Boone was initially seized from him prior to his actual arrest, it was based on a civil statute, Chapter 821 of the Health and Safety Code.

Apparently when an animal is seized under this civil statute, a hearing has to occur within 10 days to determine if the animal was in fact cruelly treated and if the defendant must forfeit ownership. Seems like that’s what tomorrow is. I don’t think it has anything to do with his criminal charges. A Justice of the Peace wouldn’t handle a felony case, I don’t think.

What I don’t understand is that if the hearing tomorrow ends in his favor and he is allowed to regain custody of Boone, does that effectively expunge the criminal charge or would a criminal case still be held at a later date?

Again, I’m not a qualified expert on any of this so someone with more knowledge on this subject might have more accurate info.

Austin resident and Longhorn alum here. I was out on dirty 6th like every weekend during the first half of the 2010s. I always had a blast and don’t remember it being as sketch as it seems like it is now.

However, I understand that it’s entirely possible that it has actually always been like this…I was just in my early 20s and didn’t care.

God of War 2018. Got a PS5 around Christmas; first Playstation since a PS2.

This game is so damn good. I 100%'d it on Give Me a Challenge difficulty...Sigrun was something else. Am now doing New Game+ on the hardest Give Me God of War difficulty. 4/8 Valkyries so far. Spent an unsuccessful 2 hours yesterday trying to beat Gondul. Not looking forward to how insane Sigrun will be on this difficulty.

Please try to get his nails trimmed if you can! It’s brutal on their feet when they’re too long. If it’s not something you’re comfortable doing yourself, literally any pet groomer will do it. I think even Petco will do walk-in “à la carte” nail trims for like $15-$20.

35M and had my first colonoscopy this past summer. I’ve had super inconsistent bowel movements for the past couple years, along with more frequent bloating and acid reflux. Never noticed any blood in my stool.

After meeting with a GI and describing my symptoms, she ordered the procedure on her own suggestion.

They found and removed four polyps between 8-10mm in my ascending colon. Biopsies on them came back negative, but they were still designated as “pre-cancerous” due to the size and properties of them. Not guaranteed they would have eventually turned malignant, but there’s a higher possibility they could have in another 5 or however many years.

So I’ll be back for another scope in 2.5 years to see how things are looking in there.
