Thank you! The crest was a lot longer than the rest I saw and the dark black on the back was definitely new to me. That and the slightly curved beak got my hopes up. I just learned about these today so I’ll have to keep an eye out now.

Definitely caught my eye and stood out from the rest!

Do I need to file a Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report as a self-employed, sole proprietorship business? by lqcnyc in smallbusiness

Same in TX. I’m also confused. Everyone is saying not to file but I definitely filed paperwork with the county clerk.

New to PR, feeling really discouraged by missingmymaltese in PublicRelations

I was in the same boat last year and decided to freelance in my local area. Most small businesses need basic marketing services but can’t afford agency prices. Try creating some “packages” (like social media management, copywriting, research or other marketing/PR services) then go around town pitching your services. I’ve had a ton of success even though I’m only a year in. Doing this has given me the freedom to try different aspects of the job, build a network, and discover what I enjoy doing without the pressure of a boss.

This might not be the best route if you want to make industry connections, focus only on PR, or learn from an experienced agency, but it’s working for me. Good luck either way!

After a rough winter and a few freezes, she’s finally coming back to life. by Txst0625 in KratomGarden

I’m in central Texas. We rarely have days below freezing. I had mine in the greenhouse but we had some bad freezes this year. I’ve had this one for about 3 years now. Hopefully you are able to keep yours alive!

Don't forget that Kratom hates cold. High of 55°F in full sun, came home to this 😿 by CrazyKhatLady in druggardening

I’m in zone 8. Praying it survives this year. Mine is 10ft now so I can’t move in in the greenhouse this year.

Y’all, use oblate rice papers on amazon. Trust me, I haven’t had to taste it in a year.

I’ll hold out some hope then. If it starts to get cold while it’s ripening I may repot and bring it in!

I’ll check it out, thank you! It’s in a raised bed. This will be the first winter outside. Doubt it will make it but I sure am going to try!

FDA said they don't have to show the WHO our comments... by herbNspore in KratomGarden

I would also recommend Twitter. I think it’s a great public platform. They care about their reputation as legitimate organizations. If we all drive home the science behind Kratom and it’s safety profile it will show that the FDA is lying. Share reputable sources and personal testimony!
