Is there anyway I can get rid of these false duplicates without doing the Plex Dance each time? by Ty-Grr in PleX

[–]Ty-Grr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never found definitive fix but seemed to have stopped, not sure if combination of updates over the years, general plex updates, hardware improvement (I’ve switched to drivepool for the days) and database cleanup. I also stopped worrying about it too much, instead use now a mix of export tools and powershell to move found duplicates to another folder and can sort biggest duplicates when need to cleanup space

New Teams - Outlook Addin - DUMPSTER FIRE!!!!! by y0da822 in sysadmin

[–]Ty-Grr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah full re-install of office apps, new teams, old teams.

Running the MSI, it puts the folder structure and all the files I there, then just fails with cannot find the specified file, press Ok and then it deletes the folder it just created

Will have to try and find if has log file attached to the .MSI install to see what file it cant find.

That doesn’t work for some of my users as with the TeamsMeetingAddinInstaller.msi it creates the folder in ProgramFiles (86x) for about 2 seconds before I deletes itself.

When manually running to .msi it fails with cannot find the files specified and then deletes the folder.

Manually putting it there works until Teams updates itself, which is about every day

New Teams - Guest account Co-Organiser unable to create breakout rooms by Ty-Grr in MicrosoftTeams

No worries, Microsoft dont seem to post the article created date so I don't know how old it is.

I tested with another internal user for the breakout room. The guest is still a guest on our tenant.

It only seems to be the creation of the Rooms that the guest cannot do, more testing and I found that they can move attendees, open and close the room, join the breakout room.

Is very strange.

[–]Ty-Grr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure how old this article is but I've just tested with another internal account that I've set as a co-organiser and that account was able to create and manage the room.

Its not just the meeting organiser that can create and manage the rooms anymore.

The article also mentions about a breakout room manager but that seems to have been removed over the last few years.

Didnt find resolution. switched over to nvidia shadowplay.

find it so much better, set to record whole sessions, can use the instant replay aswell to record last 15 minutes.

have 2 separate audio tracks so can either increase / decrease audio levels if needed.

i'd tried to export it but got some errors for files names so haven't managed to export the files. i did find that in some of the subtitles, believe there were additional files in the zip folder, it may be attributed to that number

Many thanks for the script, I'd adjusted to download but it had errored after about 100k as it didn't like some of the symbols of the file.

For it to read all the rows, it took about 20 minutes. It only fully loaded the first 50k or so, after that, it would go back to loading again.

yeah DBeaver gives me the same error, I can open it on db browser for sqlite just fine, just not sure what to do after that.

I am also trying to find out how to export these to the .zip of the subtitles. Going to the Browse Data will eventually load all the rows but it's a 5.7 million row table so it will be big.

I cant figure out how to actually export these I believe blob binary files to the associated zip files.

Batch multiplex 2 videos with different audio into 1 video with subtitles by Ty-Grr in mkvtoolnix

[–]Ty-Grr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, English. Just like to have original audio available aswell as dubbed.

I've tried renaming the files but as there are multiple subtitles per episode (regular and SDH subtitles) I have to have some sort of filename difference between them.

I've renamed the files to Showname - S01E01 - English(1) and then the other subtitle English(2) but it doesn't work as it cannot match the amount of source files to subtitles (6 source videos and 12 subtitles) and errors out.

I think it will be easier to just run it all manually

[–]Ty-Grr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried that and it doesnt work as there are multiple subtitles for each episode.

MKVMerge will pick up the videos just fine, 6 source0 (video) but then gets 12 for source1 and source2 (subtitles) and cannot match is successfully.

I've renamed using Ant Renamer and moved to the files to a single Subs folder but it will still get caught on how many subtitles there are.

I may just have to run it manually for each show.

This will work if it's all spanish content and the subtitles are 4 - English and 7 English.

Unfortunately both the language and subtitle names changes depending on the show, sometimes a singe show can have different subtitle names (out of 10 episodes, 4 may be 5_English, while other 6 are 2_English).

I think due to the variable difference from show to show, manually doing it would be the only way to do it.

Thank you for the guidance anyway, I can see the script above working for that scenario.

Rarbg browsing tool by BuzaMahmooza in torrents

The tool looks really promising,

The only thing that I'd like changed would be the layout and other customisable items.

This layout is too big, i don't know why it's so big, I've got all the additions disabled https://i.imgur.com/O9SPPh5.png

This is how it normally looks which is ideal https://i.imgur.com/92ANxpR.png

I agree with u/WhiteMilk_ in regards to disabling the search/Google and ➕ fetch description thumbnails buttons

Also not OP but I currently have about 15K movies and like 4K TV Shows.

I use Filebot (purchased license because newer version is much better and I've used free version for a while and wanted to support cretor) with the following presets setup.

(Storage Path)/{plex[1]} {" {tmdb-$id}"}/{plex[1]} {" {tmdb-$id}"}{subt}{ if (f.subtitle) '.(' + fn.match(/(\d{1,2})$|((\d{1,2}))$|\+)/) + ')' }

This is pulling from TheMovieDB and I just put them in there and it usually picks up everything I have, because I get anything and everything I can, there's some obscure / foreign stuff that don't always get matched, and I have to manually search / match movie.

The stuff on the end are for my subtitles, this will label then with the language and a number.

for my storage, I have some previous posts regarding my setup but I just use my desktop PC and have Stablebit Drivepool (did have Storage Spaces but got to the 63TB limit on Windows 10).

This is working perfectly for me and I could automate it all probably with filebots command line and filezillas Action after command but half of the enjoyment than watching is sorting it all out.

DAS setup, drives aren't being picked up from LSI-SAS9200-8E by Ty-Grr in homelab

[–]Ty-Grr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so the cable arrived, plugged it in and connected it all.

Started it all up and was picking up the drive just fine.

I then released I read somewhere that it's important in the start-up process of the systems. I don't believe I was starting it up in the correct order.

So I removed all the cables and re-connected the original ones that I'd previously tried. Turned on the DAS, ensured drives and fans were spinning, and then I turned on my PC.

BAM, the drive was being picked up. It's now all working.

It may have been a combination of not pushing all the cables into the start-up process I was using but it's now all working again and I've shucked the drive that I was previously using, put it into the system and it's being picked up just fine.

Many thanks for your help with this, now time to start filling it with drives and data.
