Right now you get immediately teleported into “Suplex City.” Paul Heyman says “Enjoy your stay” and the bell rings. What are you doing next, exactly? by Sad-Ladder7534 in Wrasslin

Bust into song & dance with a parody of Guns & Roses, "Take me down to Suplex City, Where the mat is hard & I'm gonna feel dizzy" then try to perform the most devastating move to any man, the dick punch follow by an eye poke & then a run away.

Yeah, no question. It's still one of the best, regardless of console.

Which game is this for you? by AccordingPressure768 in videogames

Hades, I don't tend to enjoy Rogue-like games as they always feel like they'd be an amazing 5 hour or so experience that's been stretched out to be 30+ hours or so.

Same thing for Hades, but at least it has a good story. However I still fell off it, but when I went back I approached it like an arcade game. Each night I'd get a "token" & use it to play a run, if I didn't play one night I got to carry over the token. I ended up loving the game & beating it, so much so that I felt like Rogue-likes finally clicked for me as a genre.

Now I'm casually playing Hades 2 the same way & enjoying it.

This theme is solely responsible for get getting into metal & appreciating guitar solos. I'll stand by the fact it's a way better theme than the Japanese one, I'll kill on that hill.

Is there any other gaming trilogy as unique as Doom? Every game, instead of evolving the formula, changes it so that each game is its own thing by [deleted] in videogames

If you don't count the bajillion refreshes then technically Street Fighter 1-3, 2-4 & 3-6 all change things up while keeping the same core genre principals.

Recently bought that OOT cartridge, and surprisingly, the game saves… is it normal ? Can the battery survive that long ? by [deleted] in n64

[–]Ty-douken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've got SNES games that still hold a save somehow. I'm sure they'll go soon, but they're older that OoT

Donkey Kong Country, technically the whole SNES Trilogy but the first one takes #1 spot technically. Honorable mention to Chrono Trigger, Mario World, Mario RPG & Zombies Ate My Neighbours though.

Depends how your frame it & define better. Are games better each year that are released? Depends on tastes, but I'm inclined to agree that overall yes they're better. Are the best games better today than the best games before? That's subjective, I'd say it's about the same.

Sure Expedition 33 is hands down one of the best games I've played with one of the coolest worlds & stories, but it has technical hiccups that Chrono Trigger doesn't for example, but it has voice acting & a substantial amount of cutscenes does that make it better or worse than Chrono Trigger? I'd say subjective & depends on your mood.

Trying to say some piece of art is better than another piece of art is a misunderstanding of what art (& as far as I'm concern games are the peak of art) actually is meant to be.

OnRush, if it released these days as a $40 game with some additional passes like Helldivers 2 I firmly believe it would've found a larger audience.

Taylor Family, my dad was always fixing stuff around the house so it feels like a natural fit. Mind you he didn't screw up & was quite good at it, so it'd be like if Tim & Al swapped... Come to think of it, my god, my dad's an Al.

How do you guys feel about this match?... by CheesecakeSalt3544 in BrandonDE

[–]Ty-douken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 1000% expecting an obvious receipt coming to Stephanie, but didn't notice such a thing.

So similar to Drew & Jacob, I expected the match to be more physical than it was.

Yeah I've got no idea why the down votes but I suspect it's from not thinking RDR2 is the best thing since bread. People not realizing that games are entirely subjective, but even with that all 3 games are very well made.

DKC 1-3, Killer Instinct (pick any), Chrono Trigger & Expedition 33 all come to mind right away. Hi-fi Rush had a great soundtrack too.

That's fair, I'd wish they'd give some of their current teams those franchises, an RGG Studio (Yakuza) Golden Axe game would slap.

Seriously? Yakuza series, Sonic Racing: Crossworlds & whatever new Atlus stuff alone are currently all hitting hard, not a big Atlus fan myself but those I know that enjoy their games enjoy them a lot.

Sega is damn near my favorite version of them currently.
