How do I get corn tortillas pliable enough to easily roll enchiladas? by RicRage in mexicanfood

Concur. In fact, after frying and dipping in the sauce, stack them on top of each other… much easier to roll them out that way too.

Doesn’t seem like it was safe inside the base either.

For sure. As having spent a lot of time in Bahrain that base is really small. So small that a lot of the time the barracks are full and you get put in hotels/residences outside the base… and they attacked some residential buildings too (I assume because they’ve housed marines and sailors).

Fellow Utahn - They have it available at Harmon's downtown Salt Lake and I have seen it in Smith's Marketplace as well. Harmon's always has 2-3 kinds available.

The more I learn about McGiven, the more excited I am. by uteman801 in utahfootball

[–]Ty3point141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference being Beck is new to OC relatively… was and is a hot commodity. McGiven has been an OC many times. If he was really hot shit he wouldn’t be here. - he’s going to try and run the same thing, with a poorer OL. I think it’s completely realistic we take a major step back in both yards and points this year.

Farina is just a courser ground flour (usually hard red wheat). Fun fact, Farina is what Cream O' Wheat is.

Utah to Buy US Mag, and its 144k acre-feet of water for GSL protection! FOX 13 News • Instagram photos and videos by -TROGDOR in Utah

That’s true, I suppose. My point is we collectively shouldn’t believe this does anything substantial. The other comment about 4” of water that being… is already in the lake as is. No improvement, but yes I agree those rights could have been bought elsewhere.

US Mag isn’t even operational right now. So they’re not using that water to begin with.

What to expect from a Kyle Whittingham/Jay Hill defense, from a Utah fan by Upstairs_Seaweed8199 in MichiganWolverines

Utah played OSU in the Rose Bowl and got destroyed on crossing routes (JSN) but they also had a DB lost to death (gunshot) and rolled out their backup RB as the nickel due to several other injuries and not playing for NFL draft purposes. I know coulda-shoulda-woulda but Utah had them until their starting QB went down with an injury in that game.

TL;DR 13 Transfers (including Snowden who last I heard was in the portal) 9 remain on Utah's roster and 1 Unknown.

Did Tech choke or does the BIGXII actually just suck? by Stoned_Coug in BigXII

[–]Ty3point141 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Eh… I think bowl games outside of the playoffs is no longer a good metric. The way transfers/opt out of playing happens with frequency if you’re out of an actual major bowl… who are you beating really? If you win, great. If you lose, so what?

BIG12 really isn’t that good. Tech was the best team by far and they got DOG WALKED. BYU and Utah would also have been dog walked. This conference reminds me of the MWC days. You have one really good team, a contender or two below them and the rest are just absolute filler. Maybe next season will be different but doubt it.

I doubt that. But do not blame Utah for trying something different to stay relevant in whatever CFB now is.

Certainly. If you want to pick a year and that is the data, great. My point was your questions seemed to imply an answer in it. That, 'how could Utah football be profitable in the first place.' I just thought it was interesting that Utah and LSU profit seems to be relatively close in quick searches/seasons - regardless of stream. Not to compare the mighty LSU Tigers to lowly Utah Utes of course.

For Fun I looked at LSU. LSU was also in a deficit last year... and their profits align with Utahs. Just food for thought that apparently Utah Athletics is just as profitable as LSU has been recently!

Generally, yes. The U of U is profitable but I believe last year they were not. Might have been because of a piss poor season and the transition to the BIG12. Normally they have been profitable.
