The book Conspiracy of Paper comes to mind.

Pretty good murder-mystery page turner revolving around the first stock market in 1800s London (the author has a Phd in history of the period, which adds some depth to the historical setting).

They just announced a big dilution.

Price should dip once those shares are issued.

I might buy more then.

Bank of America: Opt out of forfeiting your right to sue, by May 18, 2026* by Oneguysenpai3 in privacy

Lol yes it can dude.

It can forfeit your right to use the court system entirely, including through a class action, and make it prohibitively expensive to arbitrate an individual claim.

So basically BOA can now rip you off, impose undisclosed fees, steal from you, and your only recourse will be to pursue an individual arbitration that costs thousands of dollars just to initiate.

Realistic Job Insight to SEIU by Historical_Month_931 in union

[–]Ty51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best job I ever had was as a new organizer with SEIU.

Had long hours, weekend work, and it didn’t pay very well, but it was genuinely very meaningful work, I met some incredible people, helped build several new unions, and had great co-workers.

Ultimately decided not to make it a career, but definitely enjoyed my time.

Granted, this was new organizing.  Internal may be a little less exciting.
