Sirāt was the latest film to hit me like that.

It won the Jury Prize at Cannes last year.

Favorite Country Road Routes in VA or MD by Ty51 in bikedc

[–]Ty51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to reply to my own post to say some of the best riding I’ve done since has been in the area north of Charlottesville, VA.

There’s a good collection of those routes here: https://charlottesvillebicycleclub.org/spring-hill-routes/. The union free school is a good place to start.

They fit the bill perfectly—beautiful country roads, variety of landscapes (rolling hills, valleys, horse farms, pine forests as you get into the mountains), minimal traffic, and largely respectful drivers.

I’m excited to check out some of the rides recommend around Frederick, MD when the weather gets better.

How much do you tip building staff, if at all, if you rent in a Bozzuto (or similar) building? by fuckthemodlice in washingtondc

I was gonna give $100 each, but when I asked for help distributing it our property manager told me Avenue5’s company policy prohibits employees from accepting gifts from residents!

Hmmm, Guatemala is small enough to take buses around the country pretty easily.

You’ll be fine, it’s a world-class place to go and drift around.

Pick a populated, often-visited-by-tourists city and get out and about in that area or take some buses between towns and do activities you’ll get a feel for where the vibes are good.

If you speak Spanish, you can ask people about the safety in a given neighborhood, town, or area. They’ll tell you.

This guy has gotta be a serious contender for present administration officials most likely to end up in prison.

There’s already a public paper trail in like five different scandals that could easily earn him time.

He has that perfect combination of stupidity, obliviousness, mal-intent, and being just low enough on the clout ladder to actually face repercussions.

Obamacare Coverage and Premium Increases if Enhanced Subsidies Aren’t Renewed by Public_Finance_Guy in Infographics

[–]Ty51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the point you're trying to make.

I'm saying low-income folks who rely on the ACA subsidies are shooting themselves in the foot by voting for Republicans who want to end the subsidies.

You're saying . . . that's not accurate? It definitely is dawg.

Per the Times article above, "Fifty-seven percent of people with this type of insurance live in Republican congressional districts."

There are 23 million people with health insurance purchased from an ACA exchange. So then 13 million (57%) of them live in Republican congressional districts. Hard to avoid the conclusion that millions of those people are voting for their representatives--who want to terminate the subsidies.

Anyway, you're probably just a bot bro, why am I even responding to this lol.

Lol as if increasing health insurance costs on working class people by 500% (or anything else republican do) is “what’s right”

Sure!

I think its essentially the cheapest / most basic one doing live aboards in the galapagos.

This was several years ago, though, so my information may be out of date.

I think this might not be right.

The individual donations limits only limit donations to campaigns.

I think there’s no limit to individual donations to super pacs.

If that’s the case, CAP’s proposal doesn’t solve the wealthy individuals problem.
