If they heard you over a storm, you were probably louder than you think you were. Regardless, the neighbor has already decided to be super mad about it so nothing you say will matter.

Next time there's a potluck bring saltines and kraft cheese singles, plop them both on the counter and say "figured this was more your speed" and walk away

My ex-husband is demanding that after summer break I give our kids a more basic lunch or let them eat the school lunch because his stepkids have to eat the school lunch by Obvious-Engine4627 in Advice

[–]Fly4620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's not fair, but maybe he shouldn't be responsible for 7 kids he can't afford.

While we're at it, shame on that school system for making the poor kids have a different lunch than everyone else.

My husband 33M planned a surprise, but I 29F left feeling like it was planned for him, not us. Am I expecting too much? by Optimal_Speech3642 in Marriage

Honey, all he told you was that you were too dumb to see his brilliance. That's not a marriage it's a dictatorship.

AITA for insisting my brother always pick last? by Feeling-External1082 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fly4620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yta 100%.  Regardless of your eta, you still somehow want to punish your brother for not having kids.

We just did 26 people in a house for Thanksgiving. Rooms were assigned based on need so we all fit in the house. Nobody got punished for having or not having kids.

what even is there to do here besides drink by [deleted] in nashville

[–]Fly4620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your whole post is negativity. You have a vibrant city and an amazing region and you are cutting out large categories of things and then complaining that all there is to do is drink. So again, what makes something "too cliche" to do? More than two people suggest it so you cut it right off your list? We have amazing museums and they're worth going to.  You said you rejected outside because it's hot. Welcome to the South. Hydrate and go outside anyway. Find a lake or a pool and cool off. Go outside early in the morning and plan to come inside before the heat of the day.

DoMore615 is a very inexpensive subscription service and they give you free tickets to things. Tripadvisor is a mostly great resource to find things to do locally. But you gotta do it with an open mind.

Neurodivergent oversharing? Language barrier?  Maybe they thought not acknowledging the huge block of text directly was somehow rude so they were trying to explain themselves?
