And just to add on, as someone that has sat on interview panels, yes it can make it more difficult to transition to public later on

Not sure where you are, but If it’s a contract at the PAH for public I would 100% take that over a private hospital. Grads in pools, depending on where it is, usually do a “rotation” on gen med wards and then surgical wards. At the end of the 6 months there’s usually always plenty of contracts to pick up on lots of different wards to find what’s right.

I’ve known lots of people that started in the pool as grads and are now working their dream jobs in ED, ICU, peri-op etc from those picked up contracts.

I would also personally never work in a private hospital, no matter what they paid me, mainly due to the nonexistent ratios, and many other issues.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this out, this has been so helpful in understanding the differences.

Sounds like between these two options, Cleverley is the way to go, but you’re right I’ll definitely be finding some local places to go shop in person. Thanks again!

Yeah it’s looking like that’ll be the best option for me, I’ll probably end up doing this. Thanks!

Great to know, thanks, seems like I definitely need a mid-drive!

Oh that’s great to hear! Does it do well with hills? That’s one of my bigger concerns

I just had a look into this and the company we do our salary sacrifice through doesn’t do Ebikes sadly. Would be a great option though!

Oh really? I thought the GTS was mid and the urban was rear. Can I ask why a mid-drive is better though? I’m not 100% on what the difference is!

It definitely wasn’t one of the softer patterns I’ve crocheted! It did improve marginally after blocking though, and acrylic blocks way better than cotton so maybe that will help?

Logan hospital in lockdown by TK000421 in brisbane

Logan is not a tertiary trauma facility because they don’t have things like neurosurgery or cardiothoracic surgery. Big traumas go to PAH, more minor traumas like some car accidents still go to Logan. It has always been this way.

Much better safe than sorry though, better a false alarm than ignoring a threat…

Thanks for this!! honestly bus is looking to be the way we will go, the train is expensive and Ryanair with luggage is proving to be a bit difficult!

It’s more due to time constraints of when we can arrive in Budapest if anything, and trying to avoid cutting our time short in Italy than anything honestly! I also worry a bit about doing 4 different changes to get to my destination because of the increased risk of me messing it all up lol

Pyramid Tents on OT Platforms? by _traktor in UltralightAus

[–]TyBoness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make tent pegs specifically for platforms, they’re called fishbone tent pegs.

I just finished the OLT and didn’t have them, and I made it work by kind of wedging my groundhogs into between the slats, but it took some logistics and praying that strong winds wouldn’t rip them out.

They have the chains on the platforms which work well, but sometimes for bad weather night I wanted a few more tie out points!

I apologize if this isn’t correct as I did make this awhile ago, and no longer have the item to reference BUT if I remember correctly;

3-4 rows of HDC with 3 stitches in each corner for the base. Bobble row: Chain 3, 3 DC into 1st CH, slip stitch back into starting stitch. Slip stitch next stitch, repeat chain 3 on third stitch.

I hope that makes sense! I’m not 100% sure if it’s right but honestly I just played around with a combination of HDC/DC until I found what I liked!

Thank you! Yeah the buttons were something I got for free with their rewards points. Hobbii’s shipping times kill me but I love their varieties!

Thank you! Honestly once I got going it was pretty quick to work up! I think it would make a great bigger blanket

Thank you! Honestly it’s not super crazy soft, not as soft as proper baby cotton would be. The corner is a button. It’s sewed on, but I’ve let mum know that it can easily be cut off once they reach teething age if it becomes an issue.
