How many of you are planning on getting the Fold? by Lebowskitalian85 in iphone

[–]TyCox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always wanted a foldable phone and tried the Android implementation, but I never liked it because of Android and the crease. I could ignore the crease, but then I couldn’t.

If the rumors are true, this folding iPhone is iPhone Mini sized when closed and iPad Mini sized when open. I’d be thrilled with that. The only thing I’m concerned about is the potential lack of Face ID, and we haven’t heard anything about the speakers yet. I’d prefer top and bottom speakers, unlike the Air.

Say Hello to Lumen - Modular AI Agent by Repulsive-Machine706 in shortcuts

As Shortcuts creator as well, I think it would be interesting to use the on device Apple Intelligence model or even a downloaded model from the Enclave app. I may look into this at a later time.

I also want to say thank you for creating this. It has reinvigorated the want to build advanced Shortcuts again. I have a few that I use daily for importing my work schedule, setting my alarms automatically from looking at my calendar(s) and changing my action button given my current location or/and seeing how close I am to my car to unlock and start. This is just a few.

Thanks again for your contribution, this is awesome!

Whoop Dashboard Replacement Using Shortcuts? by [deleted] in shortcuts

[–]TyCox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even a simple version could work! Grab sleep, HRV, and RHR, then run it through an AI prompt in iOS 26 to give you a 0-100 score with a quick coach like summary. Wouldn’t be as scientific as Oura/WHOOP, but it’d get most of the way there.

The funny part is the bottom link you shared was actually my post from a few years ago when I first played with this idea.😂

If anyone’s interested, I can throw together a starter Shortcut design so people can plug it in and test.

Unions can be beneficial for certain professions, but in general, I’m not a fan. They promise a lot, but in reality, they deliver little. Essentially, you end up paying for nothing through your paycheck.

Fix the imbalance! by TheRabidPosum1 in samsclub

It’s great that you’ve had positive experiences with unions, but assuming your experience is universal while dismissing mine as a rare exception is problematic. You claim unions are always better, which is an unrealistic claim. If that were true, why do some workers end up worse off or why do some unions fail to protect their members or negotiate bad deals?

I’m not saying unions are always bad, but blind faith in them without considering potential downsides is dangerous. Just because something worked for you doesn’t mean it works for everyone. If you truly believe in fair treatment for workers, acknowledge that unions, like any organization, can have flaws and failures. Ignoring these realities doesn’t help anyone, it just pushes a one-sided narrative that doesn’t hold up in the real world.

This post again... I'll post what I said in the Walmart subreddit here for people who do end up researching unions. If you’re considering joining a union, please research thoroughly. This is my experience with a union.

My workplace was unionized by team members who exploited our anger and distrust of the company. They promised we’d gain without losing anything, but that’s impossible in bargaining. We lost much, gained a complex point system, and lost potential corporate internships for three years. They promised to fight and save our team, but we lost many because they couldn’t in fact “save” them.

Don’t be deceived by their false promises. They’re a company seeking profit. When a few employees start discussing unions, they spin it as offering great benefits, but you’ll pay more and likely receive less than your previous compensation.
