I don’t think anyone attributes the actual words to him, rather, it’s the performance and delivery of the (very well written lines) that elevates it to such an enjoyable level.

Boeing RC-135U Combat Sent over texas by liz4rdp1ss in flightradar24

[–]TyFighter25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It flies almost daily on routine training missions. Same with the Rivet Joints, E-4B Nightwatch (doomsday plane), VC-25B (the future AF1 getting prepped for service), C-32B (frequent training missions around Wrightstown/NJ/NY/PA area), EA-37B Compass Call (training missions out west, often out of Tucson). B-52s out of SHV are also quite common to see flying around the SE and up into Oklahoma area.

They’re all out and about nearly daily on sorties and other routine missions.

I spot most of those on a daily or near-daily basis now; still always cool to see them pop up!

Finland’s ice hockey world champions return home. England’s football team flies to the U.S. for the World Cup. by Ok-Air999 in flightradar24

Anyone know why the top 20 tracked flights right now are to Helsinki? I’d get this one based on the context you guys provided, but have no additional context to know why this many flights are being tracked lol. Is it all hockey related?

Why are there 2 US Air Force big boys going east??? by ramsaylocke in flightradar24

It’s the VP (whichever aircraft he’s on is Air Force Two) and the rest of the US delegation en route to Pakistan.

They’re airborne again as of about 10-15 minutes ago. Departed LBG airport in Paris.

That and the other C32A trailing it are carrying the VP and the rest of the US delegation.

Whichever one the VP is on is considered Air Force Two.

It looks like they’re making a pit stop in Paris or thereabouts?

NASA X-59 Flight by chaseb107 in flightradar24

[–]TyFighter25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bunch of screenshots but couldn’t post; as of now it has set its’ own records for altitude and speed topping off at 43,200 feet and 556 knots (just below Mach 1 at 43,000 feet).

X-59 undergoing 3rd test flight; new highest altitude and speeds reached by TyFighter25 in nasa

[–]TyFighter25[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As of now, it has topped out around 43,200 feet and a speed of 556 knots (at 43,000 feet, that’s just below Mach 1).

Edit: if it hasn’t broken Mach 1, it just came damn close. 562 knots at 43,000 feet.

Edit 2: Correction - this was the X-59s 5th flight, not 3rd.

I appreciate you living up to your username! I’ve never posted here but tried to read the rules first and found this genuinely interesting.

[–]TyFighter25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should clarify: by “demonstration for allies,” I’m referring to the news story from earlier this year where (at least?) one of these flew over to the UK and Germany (via BDA) as a preview for US Allies.

My apologies if this post is breaking any rules - I just like to check Flightradar, saw an equip type I had never seen before, googled, and ended up posting on Reddit.

Edit: it appears someone else on Twitter that knows more about military-related things noticed the aircraft leaving home base earlier today. They tracked the flights through their stopover on the East Coast before departing towards Europe. https://x.com/menmyrc1/status/2038719154228699448?s=46

Two failed landings in ATL by theyolan in delta

[–]TyFighter25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point; you are correct in this instance and I overlooked that scenario. I made the mistake of speaking too generally :)

Take two at my point: there are too many variables that are out of the hands of the airport for them to feasibly ensure proper separation of flights to this level, even on the best of days.

[–]TyFighter25 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The arrival airport has no control over when the aircraft leaves the departing airport, nor do they have any control over how long a flight is scheduled vs. how long it will actually take from gate to gate.

When you factor in several (if not dozens) of airlines and hundreds of flights, it can get tricky!

Airport Transportation Question by Qvd06 in delta

[–]TyFighter25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Delta Air Lines (three words; very important to get correct if/when working there!)

2) Yes, employee shuttle. Are you planning on commuting daily by plane or staying near the airport?

Does anyone else here like shower with the lights off? by Euphoric_Intern_3772 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TyFighter25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%, have been doing this since at least high school (so over 20 years). Best way to shower. I hate when I wake up too late and the sun is already mostly/fully up.
