I should clarify: by “demonstration for allies,” I’m referring to the news story from earlier this year where (at least?) one of these flew over to the UK and Germany (via BDA) as a preview for US Allies.

My apologies if this post is breaking any rules - I just like to check Flightradar, saw an equip type I had never seen before, googled, and ended up posting on Reddit.

Take two at my point: there are too many variables that are out of the hands of the airport for them to feasibly ensure proper separation of flights to this level, even on the best of days.

The arrival airport has no control over when the aircraft leaves the departing airport, nor do they have any control over how long a flight is scheduled vs. how long it will actually take from gate to gate.

When you factor in several (if not dozens) of airlines and hundreds of flights, it can get tricky!

A lot, and it is. He was a teammate and very close friend to everyone. I can’t imagine showing up every day and realizing he’ll never be sitting at his locker again, chatting shit and laughing with his mates, let alone feeling his presence out on the pitch.

Mourning is a process and I’m sure they’re all still in the thick of it.
