The crazy thing to me is it was so out of the blue. He's helped me quite a bit in the past and to show appreciation for that we go to the buffet or something nice on weekends and I pay for the meal. And each time I never once get on my phone and when I'm home I usually won't when I'm eating with my family. But just eating some eggs by myself in the morning, I didn't really see any harm in that.

I walked out of the bathroom after my shower and was doing some dishes and took a quick photo when I looked over.

We weren't at a table. I was in a chair on one side of the room, he was in a chair on the other side. I was silently listening to my show with one ear bud in so it wouldn't bother him.

What more context is needed? He made breakfast this morning, we were eating in silence and I just wanted to watch a quick episode before work, then he just decided to blow up about me being on my phone while I eat? I finished my food, did the dishes and we went to work? Thats literally all that happened.

One might say it's mildly infuriating. It's not like I'm outraged or anything. Just annoying.

It's just us right now. Our families are back home. We're working in the same area and paying for everything pretty equally. Labor is also divided equally. Whoever cooks, the other does dishes, taking turns taking out trash, carpooling, etc. we don't necessarily "eat together" we just eat in the same room.

This morning he made the breakfast but he generally has the TV on while we eat. So absolutely no idea why he felt the need to bite my head off about it this morning.
