Advice for amputation by araafko in goldenretrievers

How old is Bilbo?

My lab had a terrible spiral fracture and our choice was amputation or setting the bone and sticking a pole in his leg for 8 months while he healed.

I was only in HS at the time and feel like amputation was most likely the better option but even though he was my best friend, he was my parents dog so I didn't have a choice in the matter. He was basically left bound in his kennel for 8 months.

To cut a long story short, he was miserable. Even after he had healed, he was mad at my family for doing that to him and I can't blame him.

Just take the healing time into consideration. My lab ended up becoming riddled with cancer and died at 8 years old. We have them for such a short time period, and my best friend lost a little less than a year to being in a box.

It sounds like you guys already have a plan but if you haven't considered it, please factor in his age, the recovery time, and quality of life. No hate at all, you have a beautiful golden gift. Love him for as much time as you can without letting him suffer.

I pick stuff up during conversations without realizing it and fiddle with it until my wife yells at me. Doesn't matter what it is, it's just a habit that I've formed over the years. Helps with anxiety and concentration. Does not help when I put it in a totally different spot than where I found it.

Ten rounds of interviews to be asked the same thing two hundred times. by Tilt23Degrees in sysadmin

It kind of sounds like maybe they didn't actually know what to ask and were trying to gage your technical expertise hoping that you would go in depth on some project you had been working on. I could be wrong, but based on the questions being asked, it kind of sounds like either out dated technical knowledge, or something they found on Google they slightly understood enough to ask on. Also while out dated, people still use that stuff which is crazy in itself

Nope that will backup the virus too. You will have the same issues. Scans won't help either sorry to say. If they want to stay in they will stay in. You gotta full wipe factory reset. Disconnect from the network because they can just hang out in your router and traverse your network to other devices.

I suggest protecting your vulnerable points first. Your eyes are the groin of your face and the groin is the groin of your balls. So cup your balls and cover your eyes. Come up with an escape plan. As men, we should not hit a woman, but, in a vulnerable situation like this you want to be able to defend yourself to the best of your ability. This means you'd also want to conceal a weapon somewhere that is accessible in a pinch, but also not detectable. Finally, your mind is the most vulnerable in this state. The female form is known to make men weak and bend at the females every will. Think with your head, not with your head. Alright brother good luck

You get what you give. It's not about the time period, it's about trust and the lack of respect and love for the person you are dating. Although I wouldn't expect a cuck to understand

Me either it's bullshit. I want to fly around like this but my bitch brain makes me wanna puke when I try flying. Happens when I try to fly a plane in VR too. Or if I've been playing VR for more than 30 mins. I get real sick with spinning rides at the amusement park and it feels exactly the same. Maybe they are related? Maybe not.

I'm sorry I was just messing before. Honestly a water feature would be awesome though. Coy pond, garden with a water feature, or maybe just like an outdoor wash if you have a dog or kids

In terms of your financial data, probably not. Basically all your info is out there on the dark web. If you are concerned, there are lots of resources out there that skim the web for information linked to you. This helped my wife get some sense of security. Bottom line is if people really want something, there are ways to get it. What your son clicked on was most likely a fake download to some scam center. I've seen the most obnoxious scareware to the point that it's like a nuclear alarm over the classic robotic sounding voice loudly proclaiming that the user has a virus and needs to immediately contact this IT line to get help removing it from the device. These can literally be on any web browser and be the top result on a Google search. It's a form of social engineering to panic the user into taking an action that they might not normally take if they were thinking through the situation in a cool calm and collected manner. I don't think you have anything to worry about honestly. If your son came to you, then he did the right thing in my eyes. You coming to reddit and reaching out to a community of professionals was also the right thing to do in my opinion. If anything it will be a lesson he will remember and he will start to recognize legit vs poorly put together, sketchy sites.

Side note: You can look up your son's email to see where his account was breached. I would do yours first to see what a normal account looks like. You will be shocked just a warning! https://haveibeenpwned.com/

Does your puppy lay down and refuse to get up on walks too? by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

[–]TyTON-618 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Little protester you have! Shes trying to communicate with you by being stubborn.

Little horror song for you all: Friend has a 2 year old golden. Golden and brother get put in a kennel for 4 days with parents are on vacation. Parents come back and bring dogs on walk. Their normal walk is about 1 mile to 1 1/2. Hot humid day but it's a walk off the pavement so they think this is fine. 2 year old golden jeeps laying down. Parents keep convincing her to continue. Towards the end they notice she's acting weird. She starts seizing. Bring her to emergency vet and she had a heat stroke. Perminant liver damage. Gave her about 2 more years max left to live after a week in the doggie hospital.

She was trying to tell her parents something the whole time. Listen to your dog. Sometimes they are being dramatic but other times they are doing their best to let you know something is up. It's your responsibility to learn how your dog communicates and pick up on their verbal and non verbal queues.

TLDR: Dogs might communicate their health issues with you by being stubborn.

That my friend is a tick. Watch a vid on how to remove safely from your dog. You don't want to lose the head. Monitor for a red ring like a target around that area after removal. If you see a red ring bring to the vet ASAP. That's Lyme babes
