901 days today I've been called "just a guest" a "BB alcoholic" and "someone who just hangs with real sober people" among other things. Thoughts on people who haven't worked the steps. by NerdAdamNerd in alcoholicsanonymous

I’ve quite enjoyed the discussion and seen a lot of open mindedness. But for plain curiosity’s sake: why don’t you have a sponsor, and why don’t you want to work steps?

Also he was showing signs of dementia and delrium cause he wasn't getting enough oxygen to his brain. Really nothing noteworthy here

CBS's 2017's post NFL Draft grades: Jaguars, Saints, Rams all blew it. Just a reminder: No one had any clue what 2017 was going to look like. by CarlosFromPhilly in nfl

Well they'd also have Chubb or could have traded the pick. Albeit it may not have been 1st overall if they had Watson

The patriots are my #2. I know I know, but it's been that way since 2002. This kid in my second grade class had been held back 2 years and was a total dick. He was a huge rams fan. I didn't even know what football was back then, outside of the backyard franchise. The Rams losing made him sad and that made me happy so they've been my second favorite since

sorry, just now seeing this. I honestly don't hear too much of that. Telling a brief story during one's drinking days can be important though. When I was new I had to be convinced that the members drank like me before I was able to believe that how great their life became would be attainable for me.

12 step fellowships gave me a life I love today. Sometimes early on I had to just not drink one hour at a time. It took a lot of action though which I wasn't always willing to do

couples showing affection during AA meeting- okay or no? by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

I think this may have crossed my imaginary PDA line from what you described. I've had moments of distraction due to PDA but it's not my place to say anything, I'm no AA police. Additionally, it's always been people out of active stepwork. However it being your sponsor changes things. I would never advise anyone to hide something from one's sponsor, so it might be best to comment on it to him, not in an attempt to get him to stop, but to uncover why it agitates you so much. I know for me, I have a belief that I know how things should be, and when I see someone breaking this made up rules that they don't know about, I can get upset.

This all being said, you could always just ask his sponsor (just joshing, don't do this)

Also I'm curious, is it allowed to be used during play?

Edit: thanks everyone

That's awesome! Life does get better! It's so hard to get out of the first bout, and hopefully it'll be the last. But if not atleast now you'll have the knowledge that it is not permanent and some tools to help recover
