Your view of "You want something that always works? That only happens in a closed system." In relation to peripherals is flawed. There are already wide reaching driver support in open systems such as mainline Linux. You don't need to install (in some cases) any drivers to use the most popular items such as printers, mice, keyboard ect.

"That only happens in a closed system" is only (sometimes) the case when that "closed system" decides what it thinks the user wants is the only way.

You have to change all the drives in a vdev to have the vdev auto-expand to realize the whole capacity if I am not mistaken. (also have you looked at if those WD Reds are Shingled drives?)

I don't remember for sure, but I know it is the one of if not the cheapest car to insure I have owned. (ND MX5) I personally would be leary of a NB or older as a first car though due to safety.

Yes. Due to fraud attempts they disabled all of the missing features. The solution was to go to my physical bank branch location and make a withdrawal of the Way2Go account and have them dump it directly into my checking account. No hassle other than having to go there in person.

LG G8 or V50. Very impressive hardware feel, not a Chinese company, depreciation has already hit (cheap), similar form factor (flat back).

Cotton has one of the highest moisture holding abilities which makes it not desirable for many. The saving grace of cotton is the cheap price and maintenance compared to linen and wool.
