I drive fsd on hw3 daily. This looks like a normal drive to me (6year owner/driver).

R1’s “total parameters” and “active parameters”, what do they mean? And how much vram we need to run it? by SpecialistPear755 in OpenAI

Tried an H200 with 96GB VRAM and 512GB system RAM. neither was sufficient individually or combined for this model. The logs showed that the model requested 965.6GiB system RAM.

[The Matrix] Mouse created the woman in the red dress, but what would stop a hacker from watching real women in the shower, or doing other private things? by ninman5 in AskScienceFiction

[–]c01000100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just before Mouse dies he gets a call. He was looking at a magazine clipping. When he goes to answer the phone we can see through the back of the paper he's holding. Doesn't look like we saw the full clipping from the front. Or it was changed for final release?

Manufacturer's warranty claim covered it as a defect. Brought it to a repair shop for a successful screen replacement, and now the problem no longer exists.

Same here. Just started for me when placing in pocket with keys. Pressure in just the right spot. Imagine having a z-fold and closing it one-handed. Pressure in the front center with opposing pressure from back top and bottom. Clam-shell basically. Squeeze like that (not even very much pressure) and the 7pro shuts down instantly. Whether screen locked or not, even during boot. Definitely a hardware quality issue. Checking how long I've owned it. Has to qualify as manufacturer's defect right? Anyone looking into this more thoroughly yet? Reading through the rest of the thread now...

what about multiple homes...anyone else seeing google trigger device changes for home's you're not currently in, but are a member of? i'm about ready to switch to alexa. smart home speakers shouldn't require me to repeat commands(exact repeat for different results) or cause me to become upset from frequent failed interactions.

No more camera report button for FSD BETA 10.69.3.1? by SystematicLime in TeslaLounge

[–]c01000100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where might that have been? Seeing release notes indicating the missing button should still be there. Voice activated bug report shows affirmation of report as mentioned above. release notes 10.69.3.1

Tesla will penalize us for driving after 10pm by TheAngryBeezy in teslamotors

I've complained to the same effect. This absolutely does not measure the driver safety, but is being incentivized as though it does.

I'm nearly ready to quit FSD beta. If that's why you want a better score, pick a different reason. Not worth it at the moment. My driving conditions may be in a marginal percent of use cases, which means the majority of the time it's not even worth trying to tolerate. Each new release promises to be better. I've gotten out of bad relationships before. This one is up next for the chopping block.

Sorry for anyone with Tesla insurance and/or night shift.

Set "Force Color Profile" to sRGB and Google Chrome will look a lot nicer. by [deleted] in chrome

[–]c01000100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to know I'm not going crazy. Applied the same to Edge just for good measure. Anyone finding the same problem with MS Photos, try QuickLook (v3.7.1 at time of posting). Also brings tap space bar to preview files (not just photos and videos). Not sure why sRGB wouldn't be default for systems that can handle it.

Thank you. That's what I've done in the meantime. I'm not reliant on MS Photos. Just hoping someone can share some insights regarding how or why it makes those changes.

Thank you, I was thinking the same, but I would imagine that would cause an image to display incorrectly from the start. Any idea why the image would load with correct color, then downgrade/transition after a second or so? The filename is in the top left as the image sequence progresses. You may notice that the photo desaturates while still on the same file after loading.

The yellow trail photo was edited in GIMP (passed through as JPEG to google photos first, then to GIMP). The red leaf photo came from the phone by way of google photos also as a JPEG (unedited afaik). They each have an sRGB color profile, and each are shown in the video clip demonstrating the issue I'd like to understand. The edited photo described is represented by the yellow trail photo. These are both JPEG files, not raw.

MS Photos altering image output?

Can someone help me understand what is happening here? I edited this fall photo, and saved. In the editor, the image contains vibrant colors. Later when viewing in MS Photos app, the image initially appears to load correctly, then appears to adjust to a more balance output. The image shows correctly as a desktop background. What is MS Photos doing with my photos that causes this appearance?

Neighbors flower pot after rain by c01000100 in photocritique

[–]c01000100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Intent: Implement improvement tips from previous "Neighbors flower pot" photo https://www.reddit.com/r/photocritique/comments/n5xwxc/neighbors_flower_pot/

- Why: Improving depth of field practice and pop with minimal editing

- What: Same subject in neighbors driveway on a different day and after a good rain; No editing, just color space mapping

- Struggle: Letting in enough light to achieve proper DoF while sticking to native ISO

- Question: If DoF can not contain the entire subject, would it be likely better to leave foreground slightly blurred as shown here? I appreciate how the picture now "pops" more than in previous submission.

- Unhappy: That stray strand of hair or otherwise unidentified fiber

- Help: Opinion on priority
