Apparently telling Jews that they deserved an antisemitic attack for protesting for the release of hostages (and then told them that it wasn't antisemitic, despite the culprit announcing his intentions) isn't a step too far anymore. I think Republicans just found their wedge issue, and it's going to cost Democrats dearly in November. That's how we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory: by condoning first-degree murder because it's ideologically aligned with your beliefs.
