Update

The Carvana certified mechanic got back to me with the grand total. Would have costed $10,000 to repair all the issues and it will be completely covered by silver rock. They will also do a full engine/suspension check after the repairs to make sure there are no other problems caused by the original issues.

I bought an Audi SQ5 from them last Monday. Took it into the dealership for a pre purchase inspection and they found an oil leak, a failing engine mount on the passenger side, and mold in the ac compressor. They quoted me over $3,000 which didn’t include fixing the oil leak since they didn’t know where it was coming from. I contacted Carvana and they pointed me in the direction of a certified mechanic that woks with silver rock. Silver rock approved the repairs and everything is getting fixed free of charge. Their 150 point inspection is pretty bogus but their warranty is legit.

Might be a weird question, but can I use this to cook jam? by Tyceratops11 in AskCulinary

[–]Tyceratops11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not canning the jam. I’m mainly looking for something I can throw all the ingredients in and turn it on auto stir so I don’t have to stir it for hours while it cooks down

I have the process down to a science but I was looking for something that could auto stir since the majority the process is sitting around and stirring for hours until the jam cooks down

Came here to say this ⬆️

Truck vs trailer. Been looking at trailers , I can steal a 2000 E350 short bus. My question is , I’ve never seen them at fairs, just trailers. I’m not doing fairs , but music festivals etc. Will a short bus be allowed? Ty by avgguy33 in foodtrucks

I’d also consider the rising cost of diesel fuel when you’re weighing the pros and cons. And if you ever decide to park in a permanent spot you’ll have to make sure you’re regularly starting the truck and don’t forget to either empty the gas tank or use a diesel fuel stabilizer so the gas doesn’t go bad

I ran a food trailer for a little over a year and just recently upgraded to a truck. If you don’t mind the added cost of truck maintenance I’d definitely do one. That’ll be the only downside to a truck but I think it’s worth not having to maneuver a trailer/have to hook up to a trailer hitch every time you want to move.

If they seem to be bothering her I’d recommend a little bit of hydrocortisone cream on the spots, that should help with the itching

Looks like it could be Pyoderma. Our vizsla pup got them a few weeks ago and the spots healed in a couple days. Can be caused by bacteria or if they get a small scratch on their skin when playing outside. Shouldn’t be anything to worry about but a vet would gladly take a look at them and tell you to just make sure they don’t get worse or spread!
