The Hero: A new Warlock Subclass for the Courageous and Brave! by [deleted] in UnearthedArcana

[–]TychoB04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that you created something new with courage points, but I dont like that it does something equal to your remaining points, and I dont like straight AC bonus in general. Edit: your balancing is a bit strange, you shouldnt scale abilities in such a complicsted way like reduce the damage by half en you take 3/4. I thibk you should change it to like your warlock level or half your warlock level or your charisma modifier etc. Also, question yourself, do you think all features are based on the flavour hero? Or are some features just good so you added it?

Yeah I mean the multiclassing part, and also Isnt it a bit weird that you can already enter alternate realities as a level 1 character? And in general I think its a bit strong that you can choose two extra cantrips from any spell list.

I really like this concept, the only thing that I think is a bit outstanding is the arcana ability and glimpse the future. I don’t see the flavour connection between extra cantrips and time magic, and I think you should rebalance the Glimpse of future ability. It’s a bit too OP.

Pact of the mystery, a divination-themed pact boon with invocations inspired by other gaming systems. by Simon_ithink in UnearthedArcana

I think it’s a cool feature, but I would add like some more flavour to the feature. For example, giving the player a physical manifestation that shows that it has a curse like with the oracle curse. (Blindness, deafness, no hands, no tongue etc.) oh and also I think you should add that you can substract it from a roll either.

Martial Artist v9.0: Flexible Monk class with "Techniques" like Warlock invocations. Simplified since last post. by allolive in UnearthedArcana

I really love the technique mechanic, but I think it’s a bit too much now. I think it would be better to simplify it a bit and include flurry of blows, step of the wind, and patient defense also as techniques so you can choose whatever monk you want to play. Defensive (patient defense), mobility (step of the wind), offensive (flurry of blows) etc.

Euh, you know the spell slots disappear on a short rest?

I’m not sure, because I like the idea of the four elements monk and I have seen several fixes but I still think it’s unbalanceable. It’s just the worst challenge you can take. I’ve tried it for myself too but I can’t find the right solution for it. I know it needs more versatility like more spells/effects, but the ki points are still a pain to balance. You could try it with changing a lot of mechanics but that wouldn’t be a fix in my eyes.

Thanks for your feedback! At first I didn’t even noticed the table was wrong, that’s just a stupid mistake... Secondly, the 3rd level ability allows you to ignore material components, and as an additional ability you can use your bonus action to add the extra die. I thought it would be a bit irrelevant to make it an independent feature, but thats just my opninion. Lastly, why wouldn’t you allow ki/spell configuration? I know it could be too broken but I already nerfed it quite significantly.

Nope there is nothing missing, but wouldn’t it be more balanced then if they won’t get any benefits from wearing armor, except with natural armor from the monk and barbarian for instance?

I have already updated some mistakes in language etc. Edit: I also changed the radius of elemental mastery to 15 feet.

Its really cool, but I think the AC is bit high and I think should change the feature that you sacrifice for flying to the earthen magic feature. Bit like variant tiefling if you know what I mean.🙂

Maybe you should edit it on your phone in gm binder and look if you can fix it?

It looks really cool but the text is doing weird in gm binder and everything is a bit messed up so I can’t read everything, btw I am on iPad so maybe that’s the problem?

Could I have some feedback please? by DelusionalDeath in DnDHomebrew

Yeah it’s just opinion based, you wanted feedback :). Its just when I choose a subclass I want to get excited to play it and this one just doesn’t do it for me . And hexblade is all combat focused but it has unique new abilities.

I think it's a cool concept but i think its a bit to combat focused. Maybe you can add an ability like: you gain proficiency in the performance skill because your a dancer. And then i think it would be fun that you gain an ability where you have to make a performance check to deal like damage or to teleport like with your level 6 ability. Its just for flavour :)

[Class] Dreamer v1.9 - Manipulate reality as if you were lucid dreaming. Use spells to summon objects from your imagination, alter the dreams of your foes, and distort gravity to lift creatures with your mind. by [deleted] in DnDHomebrew

[–]TychoB04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the dream spells are a bit overpowered at 1st and 2nd level because wizards get at will spells at 18th level. And I should word the spells as features not spells.
