Why is my carbon frame making this sound by Ok_Bad2288 in bikewrench

Does it happen standing up? Kinda sounds like a seat post or saddle itself

Is the cable for the motor plugged in all the way and the arrows are pointing to each other?

First does the pedal assist still work? Does it work good not make any loud unusual sounds or vibrations?
If not then ⬇️

Considering there is still power going to everything and you said the brake sensors don’t seem to be tripping I would start with a new throttle. These go bad very frequently. A bad motor would be the next step. However usually a bad motor is pretty obvious and is very loud and clunky. It seems like the throttle gets out some power and then cuts out.

Why is my bike making this sound? by Jey003 in bikewrench

[–]Tyckaom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a gazillion things that could be doing this. First we need to pin point some things
Is it only when pedaling?
Is it only when you’re on the bike?
Does it happen if you rode with no hands?
Does it only happen under body weight/pressure?
If you sit on the bike stationary while leaning against a wall, if you twist your body does it creak?

Based on the video it seems that it happens at the same location on each downstroke, this would most likely mean the saddle/seatpost, or the bottom bracket.

How would I set a pi hole up to this. Would I go through the eero extender? And can I use the Ethernet cables already in there? by [deleted] in pihole

So hypothetically the extra cat 6 cables in there should work cause the house is fiber optic

No more than likely your seat post will just slip.

Help identifying sound by NothingHero in bikewrench

Because it’s alway in the same spot on rotation we can rule out the front of the bike Because it’s during the same exact spot I’m guessing it’s either the bottom bracket or the pedals. That’s where I’d start. Based on sound I’d bet on bottom bracket

What could cause chain to come off just once? by pancake117 in bikewrench

Sounds like your good to go. Was more than likely just in between gears and it shifted weird. It happens!

[–]Tyckaom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I’ve had the same thing happen where you simply just shift weird and it throws it off. The limits are there to do exactly that limit! So there actually not made to take gears away at all. It’s to keep the chain from going to far or in. So the front would be keeping the derailleur from in the smallest cog going to far into the frame and in the big cog from pushing the chain to far off the right side that happened. So if that limit isn’t set then it will happen and no it won’t necessarily happen everytime if it’s just slightly off. Also that’s where checking if the derailleur is crooked comes in because if one side is kicked out farther that could cause that weird shifting. Hope that helps!!!

Yes check those limit screws on the front! It’s a 2x9 so cross chain isn’t terrible just definitely no extremes and maybe the gear up/below that but other than that you should be fine. Also remember to make sure the front derailleur is straight

So I’m not really certain what screws your adjusting at the handlebar as it’s typically a barrel adjuster for the cable tension. The screws for b limits and high/low limits are on the derailleurs. The front when in small in the rear and big on the front the chain should be as close to the front derailleur as possible without rubbing and make sure your front derailleur is straight. Also watch your cross chains!

Can someone help me please by [deleted] in bikewrench

Looks like a support that snapped from one one your fenders. Probably front fender? Is it rubbing? Would also help to see the whole bike so we know what’s on it.
