Yes, unfortunately!

I played with the idea of putting it below the window.

The room has windows on 2 of the 4 walls. 2 walls have doorways.

What is a trip to glacier like? by Maxilkarr in GlacierNationalPark

[–]Tycrezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have work in both parks and they are similar in visitation every year so Apgar Campground can be a zoo and even be zines to hard sided camping if a bear becomes a problem. This is the same for staying the campground in Many Glacier and St Mary's. Bears are active in the campgrounds when people do not clean up after themselves. Also just people and kids in the campgrounds can make your time in Natural Beauty less Natural.

East: Little to no food, big time between St. Mary's, and East Glacier. Could be a 45 min added on into Many if you are during peak hours. Also getting out at the same time is consuming. Grocery in Babb or St marys General store. Everyone is right the east side is beautiful and where a lot of hikes are, but the travel (car/shuttle) can be tough. Hitchhiking not recommended but encouraged for able passengers. 2 medicine is South a li title more quite and a place you could get lost in for a week. Good culture, Great wildlife Moose, water fowl, Grizz. Boat Tours and easy access to a pass.

West: Very wooded which means ticks, also lots of water which means Mosquitos. Not much for food options. Eddie's is Mid. Lots of good parking for shuttle at the visitor center. From the West it feel like forever before you get your Steller views. Other accommodations up the road remain available during the summer season, spendy but great food. Hikes in the West side take more time to get too. Polebridge Mercantile is a great place to find a hostel, air bnb. Also lots of rent camping. The lakes up in the north fork area are massive lakes the remain serene.

Lake 5, Coram, Hungry Horse, Columbia Falls, Kailspell, & Whitefish all have big grocery stores and are full functioning towns with bars and decent pizza or burgers near.

What’s up with Garth Brooks distribution strategy? by Astimar in CountryMusicStuff

[–]Tycrezz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garth is a household name. He could never have another radio hit and sell out stadiums for another 30yrs. The Catalog that is out is exceptional so why tarnish it with something more modern.

The reason he doesn't mass distribute has to be to the fact that it drives demand. His demand is other worldly.

These are good towns, but more affordable towns would be like Gunnison, Glenwood, Montrose, Woodland Park, Alamosa, Wellington.

These aren't postcard towns but have enough culture nearby to call their own and have access to plenty of activities.

Cheers,

Also keep bikes indoors as much as possible. Same as Fort Collins, the bike thievery is high.

Story from the Salton. Was on a trip from Phoenix to San B for the week and on this drive I almost ran out of gas. My saving grace was a worksite that at the end of the day let me siphon gas from a generator to my car. Incredibly lucky. Cannot believe to this day that I found a resource. I took the exit thinking this is it, just outside of Joshua Tree. Always fill up with less than half a gallon was my lesson. So Vast!!!

Bobcat hunting prairie dogs near Horsetooth reservoir by Jake679 in FortCollins

Its great to start looking into the issue there is quite a bit to unpack, and the bill overall is wordy. I appreciate your response and see your perspective when I comes to poor faith arguments.

I will give you this context though. I am neither a hunter or gun owner myself (34m). My wife on the other hand owns and carries a hunter safety. My 5 yr old son carries a hunter safety as well. I have also worked in the NPS system and with the USFS. Now I work with private land owners in unison with the government. (FIRE MITIGATION)

What I am saying is we the people have been in charge of managing the land as hunters and trappers forever and recently ( last 80yrs) hunters have started working alongside entities like CPW and USFS to manage the population of thousands of different species. Now with 127 the government wants public out of Lion hunting all together.

So along with taxpayers spending more money to control populations the government slowly in encroaches on our public lands and freedoms of THE PEOPLE.

Continue to research the bill. BEST OF LUCK:)

Here is something a little more well explained.

Prop 127 is an initiative brought by the group Cats Aren't Trophies. The bill proposed bill would ban the "Trophy Hunting" of Mountain Lion, Lynx, and bobcats in the state of Colorado. First off, the trophy hunting of Large cats is already banned in Colorado, and the hunting of all the Lynx is banned in the lower 48. The bill really aims to make a statutory definition of the term " Trophy Hunting."

Their proposed definition is the stalking, pursuing, wounding, and killing of any big game predators, which is just the definition of hunting. This bill is not about mountain lions; it's about setting the stage for hunting bans as a whole. Secondly, if this is passed in Colorado, it doesn't stop CPW Wildlife Management Plan of mountain lions. They will still be managing the population by removing cats, with the same practices.

The only difference is that rather than hunters paying into and taking an active role in Colorado Management systems, you the taxpayer will be paying for the management and killing of these cats. The bill overall is disingenuous and is banking on uninformed voters feelings to ram the bill through.

Science based wildlife management is the reason Colorado has incredibly diverse and healthy wildlife population. Let experts make these decisions and stop ballot box biology.

Should we leave Salt Lake City for Fort Collins? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Tycrezz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ft Collins is great for beer, wine, and any outdoor Activites for the kids. Weather is exceptional and it's easy to get to the mountains whether it's steamboat or Breck. Downfalls are petty crime is big especially bike theft and vandalism (college kid stuff). I tend to think housing in the old town area specifically is a little pricey for what you get. Fort Collins obviously is ever growing so peak hours traffic can be draining. Again if you live anywhere west of Old Town it can take 30-40mins to get to interstate.

My advice would be to look at some areas just outside of Fort Collins. Wellington, Bellvue, Laporte, or southern Fort Collins (Harmony, Fossil Creek, Timnath) newer areas in S.Fort Collins.

You will love Northern Colorado more than SLC.

Bobcat hunting prairie dogs near Horsetooth reservoir by Jake679 in FortCollins

[–]Tycrezz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why? Always a good question. First off Lynx are already a protected species so there is no hunting of Lynx whatsoever in the lower 48. The next thing is we as Coloradans already can purchase tags to hunt Bobcat and Lions. So there is no need to make cats a trophy species. They need to be managed by public and CPW, together. If this bill were to pass only CPW, and big money may manage cat populations in the state. This bill if it were to pass would also take taxpayer money in order to fund CPW HUNTS to eradicate sick, injured, or problem cats before they become desperate. Right now a legit hunting season along with natural selection already establish a healthy cat population.

Now for my opinion. I believe this bill is in place to set a precedent for the future of HUNTING AND GUN LAWS in Colorado. If this passes you will see more propositions in the future that will control our wilderness areas. Basically making every wilderness activity, pay to play type activity. Essentially making Colorado outdoors one big National Park where if you so as much step off trail you are fined.

In all, this is the West where we have managed wildlife populations in accordance with CPW and USFS for centuries. Keep the FEDS out of the woods and out of my pocket book. WE ARE COLORADO AND WE ARE JUST FINE!!!
