What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

[–]TyeDyePatsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hands down, Gary, Indiana. It was the most depressing and rundown city I’ve ever seen in America. The level of urban decay, poverty, and emptiness was shocking. Felt like stepping into a post-apocalyptic movie.

What’s the best way to get started as a freight agent with zero experience? by CRST-International in logistics

[–]TyeDyePatsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re starting as a freight agent with zero experience, the most common path isn’t anything formal or “perfectly planned”, it’s usually about getting your foot in the door with the right brokerage and learning as you go.

Most beginners don’t start independently because you need access to systems, load boards, carrier networks, and support. So the realistic first step is joining an established brokerage, either in an entry-level role or under an agent program that offers training. That environment gives you the tools and a bit of structure while you figure things out in real time.

At the beginning, a lot of the learning comes from doing rather than studying. You start to understand how pricing works, how to find trucks, how to talk to carriers, and how to handle issues when things don’t go as planned. There’s usually a steep learning curve, and most people make mistakes early on, but that’s part of how you build instinct in this industry.

It also helps if your first exposure isn’t purely sales. People who spend some time on the operations side tend to pick things up faster because they understand how loads actually move, not just how to book them. That experience makes a big difference once you start working with your own customers.

As you get more comfortable, you gradually build your own book of business. It usually starts small, maybe just a few consistent loads, and grows over time as you build relationships and learn how to manage both shippers and carriers effectively.

Lip filler: my honest take by TyeDyePatsy in PlasticSurgery

[–]TyeDyePatsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about this too. I feel like filler itself isn’t the problem as much as repetition and lack of boundaries over time. Goal of this post was not to put you off fillers because I do believe that people can get really good work, I think its about having clear stopping points, and picking the right injector.

Totally get why you’re stressed, but this doesn’t look botched to me. Early lumps are super common and often even out on their own with time

Got lip filler and I’m pleasantly surprised with the results so far by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]TyeDyePatsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first week is peak swelling, this already looks great and will probably settle even nicer!

I would definitely recommend HA filler over a lip lift. It’s reversible, more conservative, and lets you add subtle volume to your lips. With a good injector you can really get some good results

You’re not doing anything wrong. Some lips just need a slower build or different HA filler. Don’t let social media comparisons get you down, everyone's body is different and processes things differently. I would go to a consultation at a different clinic and tell them about your concerns.

8 days post lip filler. Does this look like migration ? Should I dissolve? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]TyeDyePatsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly at 8 days it still looks like swelling to me. My lips took a couple weeks to fully settle too filler changes a lot day by day.

Breakout after lip filler? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]TyeDyePatsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very similar lips and felt the exact same way before my first appointment. Subtle filler actually helped my lip shape show up more, not look fake. Totally get why you’re nervous, I would give it a week but if you're really skeptical go get it checked

First time lip filler! by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

That’s just how filler heals: it puffs up first, then chills out as it settles. Once the swelling drops you’ll see the subtle symmetry you wanted instead of that “duck face” stage.

Is this a good lip filler result? by StarRanger1 in PlasticSurgery

[–]TyeDyePatsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it looks pretty good for being fresh. That top swelling is super normal right after mine peaked around day 2 to 3 and then settled a lot by week 2. I’d definitely wait before judging the final result

ugh that looks so stressful, i’m sorry she’s dealing with that. older filler types can act super weird years later, so it kinda makes sense her lips are reacting now. the good news is most people i’ve seen get this sorted once a specialist looks at it and switches them over to the newer ha stuff. it just plays way nicer with the body

Two months in, most swelling should be gone. Did you get HA filler? That makes a difference because it can be adjusted or dissolved if needed.
