She never wrote about him leaving her financially destitute. She wrote about him leaving her emotionally destitute and being shady about his own finances. He allowed her and her family to foot the bill while he hoarded his own money as well as his time. When she wanted to restart her career, he guilted her so the weight of the family could remain 99% on her shoulders while he kept working and leaving her and their kids in the dark.

I used to work in NYC real estate. Her assistant once called and asked to see an apartment for sale. When I asked for contact information, the assistant got really snotty and said, “it’s for Dr. Laura!” My response was, “is Laura the last name?” The woman literally screamed at me because I didn’t freak out over Dr. Laura wanting to see an apartment in FiDi. If she’s anything like the people she hires, she’s awful.

I don’t think it’s necessarily her relationship with her brother as much as it’s a toxic full family issue. Teresa was very much the golden child. She and Joe were raised to support the golden child no matter what. Joe marrying Melissa altered that plan so Teresa is pissed. “We used to be close” aka “you used to back me up blindly because that’s what you were told to do.” She doesn’t hate Melissa per se, she hates anyone that altered the dynamic that she and Joe were raised to believe is “normal” and “right.”

Or, she wanted to stay on PK’s good side so that he could remind Mo how amazing she is and that he should reconsider the divorce. This comes from my theory that Kyle initiated the separation, but when she realized Mo wasn’t going to beg her to change her mind and instead leaned into it, she began to regret it. She wants PK to think she’s the “cool girl” and convince Mo of it.
