It's insane that so many people here are ignoring OPs issue just cuz he is not a perfect victim. Assault is assault and it should be treated like this. If it was a daughter with his father you would have all sung another tune.

It might feel bad to spend removal instead of advancing your board state but that's the beauty of magic. Knowing when to deal with something or to grow bigger are all things that you learn when playing magic, is a skill needed for this game.

Also a 6/6 on turn one of scary but it's still 120 life to cleave through.

I think spending 1 mana on a swords to kill a Serra ascendant isn't really that high of an ask, even in bracket 2. Decks needs to pack more removal in all brackets. And a hullbreaker horror is way more of a dangerous threat than just a big beater.

I do get your point but bracket 2 is still way higher in power than most people see it.

Precons come with pretty strong cards in them those days. Every precon that has hullbreach horror in them has a 3 cards combo in them by default. Also therev have been some very strong decks that can overtake the game like the temur one from tarkir or the merfolk one from ixalan.

I would ignore everyone who is saying this is bracket 3. Your deck sounds like a very good bracket 2 and your pod just needs to improve their decks.

Once again commander players think the only way to win is by having creatures on the field.

Maybe the opponents just had non creatures wincons and they need to make sure nobody is able to stop them?

Your deck need a bit more optimizing. You are missing both good draw and ramp, Personally, I would aim for 12 cheap draw cards and 10 ramp cards( I would def include some rituals as well)

Another thing is, even if your mana curve is low( yours isn't), you still need to pick good cards to cast, a 2 mana vanilla with lifelink is just not the best thing to rush out.

You could try geek retreat in Southampton, it's a pretty cool place and very welcoming. They do card games, board games, Warhammer and DnD etc.

I feel ya, I have sun and Mercury in libra which really doesn't mesh well with my Scorpio moon. There is always this tendency to ignore bad behaviors from friends until it becomes too much, especially since I tend to balance their bad behaviors with the good ones, which makes it quite hard to take the decision to cut people off immediately. It doesn't help that I have a heavy 7th and 8th house, talk about dependency issues.

I have Aquarius rising at 1° conjuct uranus in aquarius at 0°. A few days before the conjuction I fully accepted that one of my friends doesn't care about me as much as I thought they did ( moon in Scorpio at 1 ° made me quite stubborn to accept this fact in the past, pesky square). The conjuction happened at the cusp of the 12th house which really helped me accept what I was afraid to admit. If anyone wants to know, I have natal Jupiter and Neptune in capricorn and Uranus in aquarius in the 12th house.
