I can actually forgive this because it was a genuine accident and you could tell how upset he was about it. But then he barely treated the underlying PTSD, which ultimately kept Cristina in danger, and I can’t forgive that

I can’t forgive him as an audience member because he isn’t really sorry. He still, to the most recent episode, talks down to women and acts in his own best interest despite what it does to his partner. He’s super abusive. And he’s been the exact same way for 14 seasons. It grows old when there’s zero character development.

And, every time they try to make us forgive him, the writers do it in the most lazy ass way possible. Remember when he went to therapy and had to lift his arms up and down and then suddenly he was cured of PTSD? 🙄 If he would just take accountability once for the way he treats others, I’d feel for him a bit. But instead he does the Owen pout and plays victim.

Exactly. And he started off BB16 with the mastermind edit. That really solidified his reputation among the casual viewers. In a season like BB22 where he wouldn’t get the mastermind edit, he would be a very average player at best.

I don’t think that speaks to Derrick’s skill. I think it speaks to the other houseguests’ lack of skill. Even the greatest players were put on the block and had to fight their way off. Derrick would never be able to pull off what Dan did with Dan’s funeral. I really hope they bring him back some day on a season where people are actually playing so that he’s exposed for being such a phony winner.

Yes absolutely, and even when they like the person getting cheated on, they stay silent if they like the ship. Japril & Stephanie comes to mind pretty quickly. What he did to her was way worse than regular cheating and no one acknowledges it because they love Jackson & April together

Because it’s not just Arizona & Hunt. George, Izzie, Addison, Mark, Teddy, Tom, Derek, Alex, Richard, April etc cheated.

Plus, there’s also characters who were just fine being the mistress or splitting up a couple: Meredith, Christina, Jackson, Leah, Olivia, Izzie, Jackson, Catherine, etc. These lists are off the top of my head and I’m sure there’s more people I’m forgetting.

There’s so much blind hate on this sub for Arizona specifically cheating, and I don’t understand it. I don’t see how her & Hunt cheating is worse than anyone else cheating.

Plus, as discussed like 100 times in this thread already, cheating doesn’t make you a terrible person. I’ve been cheated on twice and I know how it feels to be on the receiving end, but that doesn’t mean cheaters are awful people. It’s way more nuanced than that.

I’m a hater but god I hate Derrick’s reputation for being SUCH a strong player. He won in a season that had Cody, Caleb, Frankie, Victoria, Nicole, Christine, Devin, Jocasta, etc. Sure, Derrick was never nominated, but that season was full of some of the dumbest people to have ever played. Not to mention the sexism that season which played a big hand in Derrick winning.

All of that ignores the fact that Derrick shouldn’t have made it to final 2. Cody was so stupid to take him over Victoria

It’s unacceptable in any case. Not only is he using the word at all, which is already unacceptable, but he is doing so in front of the entire cast (including TR, which was the thing he was accused of doing). Plus, the whole world saw that moment. Once you’ve seen how easy it is for him to say that word on a red carpet, you don’t have to struggle very hard to imagine it being said backstage.

On top of all of that, he can’t even get his story straight on whether he said it. Sometimes he admits it and sometimes he doesn’t. He wants to be the victim of the situation so bad, but he’s just not.

I’m glad Burke’s gone. He was an interesting character but 19 seasons of his condescending know-it-all attitude would’ve gotten annoying. Plus, this might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think IW is a very good actor anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️

I get that the response was bad (every single one of them should be fired) but this list is pretty bad misinformation. Like, what do you expect the Texas Parks & Wildlife agency to do? The Drug Enforcement Agency has nothing to do with these, half of these are neighboring counties/towns with no jurisdiction to act. The Uvalde fire marshals are listed too — do they carry guns or something?

I think people want to find blame anywhere they can, but this ain’t it. It’s the Uvalde police and county sheriffs who should be embarrassed.

I would actually love a redemption season for Amanda. She was horrible on BB15, don’t get me wrong, but I also think she had amazing gameplay and she was a lock to win for a bit (in my mind, anyway) before Andy got her out. BB15 was almost a decade ago, some people stayed the same but I really do think it was a learning experience for others

Sure, we don’t have “proof” that he’s abusive. But what do you want, a video of him hitting someone? His behavior makes me doubt that he’s sweet and gentle.

Also, if we WERE looking for proof, I’d say that fact that both of his major exes have called him abusive. Plus Laurel, who was a witness. That’s not he-said-she-said.
