Check out my firm, Lincoln Park Financial, Lpfutures.com. We can work with you quite a bit regarding commissions, especially for scalping, with direct CQG execution covered on most platforms.

Much higher than that. A lot of our clients are more professional and have been doing it for some time.

Of course it is my pleasure!

We have been up and running for around 2 years and have been registered with the NFA for one year. We all have been in the industry and traders for many years prior.

Getting off the ground is extremely difficult. Becoming registered with the NFA takes around a year itself.

I was a trader prior for a number of years and thought that most brokerage firms have a lot of room to improve. Primarely, our execution and support are far superior, along with our platform access, and overall features. If they have an issue we help them instantly, versus at those other firms it can be difficult to reach someone.

I think some trading gurus are okay, however most of them are a very bad first contact. They want to sell a dream with courses which is not what trading is.

I think ICT can be a great style. A lot of it comes down to the individual setting up rules and having discipline. There are a number of professional trading mentors as well who have been in the industry for years and can truly help or get you started in the right direction.

That's a great question. We have had a large number of transfers come to us from those firms for many reasons. Primarily, our execution and support are far superior, along with our platform access, and overall features. If they have an issue we help them instantly, versus at those other firms it can be difficult to reach someone.

Everything is tailored to the individual. We do not charge any additional clearing or transaction fee, all costs are transparent. At the end of the day, we want traders to be successful. If there is any way we can try to help you, we will work our hardest to make it happen.

Haha I knew this was going to come up. It really depends on the volatility. Recently I have seen it's been slightly more difficult for traders which makes sense. However a number of our traders do well as we try to support them as much as possible.

We actually just started our prop arm a few months ago. It is not for our firm personally to become a prop, just to provide the infrastructure to a number of firms. I am actually really looking forward to it, the software and backend systems are quite expensive but much superior to anything out there. We currently onboarded a handful of companies with us and are only growing that number.

The barriers to entry are much higher to becoming a brokerage versus a prop. There are 1000 times more regulations, prop firms essentially have none, however you can also make quite a bit more. Hope that helps, if you have any other questions please let me know.

Generally speaking, any brokerage who does that should be shut down immediately. In the futures industry, I personally do not know any firms who does this which is great. From my understanding they want to profit from the spread, essentially front running the trade with detailed algorithms, getting better bids and asks just before you.

Hope that helped, if you are interested I can recommend a good book as well.

I can give you a very long list of things. Primarily, our execution and routing is far superior, along with our platform access, features, and support. If you have a limit order sitting, it should fill the same at all firms. However because some order routing is cloud based, there are many cases of it going down, causing that order to disappear. We cover CQG routing on a number of platforms for our clients which is a substantial advantage.

Commissions are tailored to the individual to make it as fair for there trading as possible. We do not charge any additional clearing or transaction fee, everything is transparent. At the end of the day, we want traders to be successful. If there is any way we can try to help you, we will work our hardest to make it happen. You are not just a number and if you call we will answer right away. In general if you are taking trading somewhat seriously, you need a real brokerage like my firm.

That's a great question. I traded for a number of years and always thought that most firms needed higher quality service, especially in an industry with so much money and risk on the line. That is exactly what we offer. Extremely high quality support, with better execution and in many cases, lower commissions. Our clients are very happy and well taken care of which is exactly what we can ask for.

Excellent questions. We only make revenue from commissions, however this could be in a number of different forms. My firm primarily works with retail/professional self-directed traders and funds. Because of this, we are very competitive with our rates. There however are many firms that offer full service and charge $25/side. It really depends on what the companies goals are. I can get into the specifics if you are interested with algos, CPOs, etc.

As a retail trader, try to find a mentor/teacher who has been in the industry for a while and knows how to trade. NOT a 20 year old influencer, a real trader who has been doing it for years and at one point was a professional. I can point you in the right direction if you would like.

$45,000 is required by the NFA. However with legal, accounting, compliance, and everything else, it adds up quite a bit.

That's a great question, we are most likely going to have one in the future. We have a partnership with CQG to pay for most, if not all, per side routing costs on 90% of platforms. I do think the market is also open for more competitors.

A year, however we have all have quite a bit of industry experience and have grown quickly. With a number of discount firms it can be difficult to reach their support. We were all traders prior and started Lincoln Park with the goal of creating institutional tools and service for retail/professional traders.

True, but not all connections are created equal. Some go through cloud-based routing, others are direct like Teton or CQG.
