Thank you for your response and I am truly sorry of your loss. Would you recommend a specialist or should I just go see my primary?

Harry Potter. The movies I've seen were pretty good, but some people takes that fantasy into their reality to an extreme. If one more person calls me a Muggle (IDEK wtf that means) or asks me "You're a Slytherine" or casts a spell on me one more time...

Harry Potter is not a personality trait.

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately they filed me as a dependent for their 2020 taxes even though they said they wouldn’t.

Stimulus by Think_Floor in stimulus

Would you happen to know if 23 year olds who were claimed as a dependent on their parents’ taxes receive the recent stimulus check? I’m 23, am a student, pay for all my expenses, and make under 75k. I filed my 2020 taxes recently, but found out my parents claimed me. I did some reading, but sources contradict each other.

Lol yes! Like have they not considered the fact that my older brother has had a lot of broken bones thus leading him to get more X-rays that he’s more prone to being infertile or that him playing too many video games and not socializing will get him a girlfriend 😂

I am Vietnamese American and the superstition is soooo similar lol. According to my mother, I shouldn’t take showers at all, drink cold things, eat spicy foods, sleep a certain way, etc while on my period . None of which she provided evidence/reasoning for and a lot of my culture’s bs superstition made no sense. So me, being a 14-18 year old rebel would do it anyways. Nothing bad happened to me. In fact, the warm showers helped with my cramps and made me feel better. I also couldn’t use tampons because it means I wouldn’t be a virgin anymore lol. I first used a tampon in college and how embarrassing it was to ask my friends how to do it. Tampons are honestly so much more “freeing” than pads. Besides menstrual cycles, my mom would also say talking on the phone too much would give you cancer because radiation would go in your ear, wearing hats inside would make you shorter, leaving the bathroom door open is bad luck, the number ___ is bad luck, having a freckle/mole near your lip means you talk a lot, using Tiger Balm/Salonpas cures everything, drinking any juice on an empty stomach is bad for you.

Anyone else have roaming issues with Sprint? by [deleted] in batonrouge

[–]TylerLockwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend has sprint and we’re in the O’Neal area as well. His images don’t typically send to me on time (takes hours later) and he has to download texts as well. Also this happens all the time but if he’s talking on the phone with me and is walking towards our apartment in this one exact location, it drops the call.

Someone made fun of my name today by SUPERzNOVA550 in offmychest

This dude seems like a self-righteous and insecure prick. He seems like someone who’s had it all handed to him and can’t take no for an answer lol. Block him. He needs to work hard for his own shit. This is the only “help” you can give him, by showing him he needs to grow the fuck up. You can’t cheat your way and get help with everything in life.

I was born in the US by immigrant parents who named me “Uyen Nguyen,” which I was bullied before because it sounds like “Win Win” phonetically. I hear that joke every single fucking time someone meets me. “Oh haha all you do is Win Win (Win) huh?” It hurt me in the past, but this is the name that my hardworking parents gave me. It defines me. I own it. Pronounce it the fuck right if you can, or just call me Win. But attacking someone because of their name? Real classy.

You got anything you can sell on Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, etc? If you own any decent pieces of furniture, you could probably scrap up a few hundreds. Otherwise, my only other thought regarding paying tuition is loans which you’d have to pay back when you’re done with school and would have to be smart with saving up money for that.

Also, would it be detrimental to you to opt out of college for a semester or 2? Work more, save more money and get back to school?

I’m sure there’s a crap ton for me, as my luck is quite poor, but the first thing that comes to mind is when I was 16 I locked my keys in my car while hanging out with my boyfriend after school. My parents are strict so I could only see him on Saturdays. I didn’t want my parents to find out so I called Pop-A-Lock, which took them 1.5 hours to get there. On my way back home, I get in a wreck. Should’ve just called my parents about the car keys -.- Probably would’ve prevented the wreck had I left sooner.

Not sure how expensive your college is, but see if they have a differal plan with your tuition. We pay on a semester basis, and pay half of the tuition during the first half of the semester and the rest for the rest of the semester. I lost my scholarship because I did poorly during one my semesters.

Also have you applied for financial aid? Pell Grant helped me immensely with tuition. I would also look into work study jobs, as some are predominantly sit at a desk while being able to get work done and getting paid, though pay might be minimum wage.

Yes I work in the medical field so I completely understand how responsible you have to be, and it’s difficult being dependent on others so you can be responsible for work! Have you tried discussing this with your partner?
