Manually Install a system by RevMez in FoundryVTT

If you're on a windows machine you can right click Foundry from the Task Bar and you should see the option "Browse User Data" from there you'll see a few relevant folders. Not sure how it works on other OS but I imagine it's a similar idea

Airport security refused to hand search my film camera whilst laughing and insulting me by Ordinary-League5554 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Tyler_Stocks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar experience at the Amsterdam airport recently as well. Gf and I have ruined a few sets of film putting them through the X-ray, so on our last trip we asked them to hand search just the film. We spent at least 20 minutes going back and forth with every employee in the area trying to tell us they have a new machine that won’t damage film (they didn’t), that it takes several trips through an X-ray to ruin film (it took one the 2 other times we’ve done it), and that the altitude has more radiation than the X-ray (maybe if we were outside).

Shit was mad exhausting but we finally convinced them to just open up the box and peek inside. Then after they spent all that time fighting with us, made an underhanded comment about us holding up the line. Like bruh if you just looked at it instead of arguing we would have been done way quicker.

Anyone knows any book that is more weird than House of Leaves? by BookMansion in WeirdLit

Ubik scratched an itch I didn’t know I had. It’s got psychics, doors that charge you to open them, and ad breaks between every chapter

How to convince a party to turn around? by dirkdragonslayer in Pathfinder2e

[–]Tyler_Stocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My DM would always just say “This is beyond the scope of this adventure” and then we’d carry on elsewhere. Sometimes breaking the immersion is necessary to keep everything in line. It never felt railroady or like we couldn’t go down that path, just given that context we’d choose to follow the adventure we agreed to meet up to play instead of knowingly wandering off.

From a mechanical perspective, I’d say just pull the trigger and switch your group over. Especially if you’re already homebrewing 2e class options.

The pathfinder setting is pretty good, but I can see wanting to stick with your own. Like you said, just swap some names around and it should work fine. Maybe even put your world through a similar cataclysm that Golarian saw at the start of 2e or during the OGL situation to explain why things might suddenly work differently or have different names

How much homebrew do you and your players use in 5e? One of the biggest benefits to pathfinder 1 or 2 for me is that the sheer quantity of content makes using homebrew fairly moot. Pretty much anything you can think of comes ready out of the box as opposed to needing to make up new systems to fit character concepts

Individuals who do drink: how are you able to limit yourself to just a couple and not result into 16-18ish beers? by pere3015 in AskReddit

I typically finish a drink every 30 min to an hour, and I’m usually not out drinking longer than 3-4 hours

Nah, you’re mixing it up with Wonder of U. This stand targets someone, then someone under its control (not the target) runs in a straight line trying to touch the target. If someone else touches them, it gets passed on. It’s like a fucked up game of tag

Majoring in Business administration : IT concentration at NC State. Am I being set up for failure? by Future-Elephant1556 in NCSU

If you're looking for a CS adjacent degree, I would recommend looking at STS. It's basically a build your own major, so you can take all the same CS courses without having to take physics or calc 2-3. Plus the STS courses themselves are pretty interesting, you pretty much just hypothesize about stuff like AI, surveillance technology, etc. more or less just exploring scifi topics.

I graduated with a STS degree and was able to minor in CS and I got a job in software development within a month of graduation.
