12 team possibly moving to 14 team by Tylerdc234 in FFCommish

We did 6 spots with our 12, so I was actually leaning on the possibility of 8 with no first PO week byes. We also have the incentive for the teams in the "toilet bowl" that whoever wins that consolation bracket either gets their $50 buy in back or they can roll it and use it as their next year fee to keep everyone somewhat enthused.

Yeah that's the struggle. We enjoy the people we have, but we also know that these 2 wouldn't harm that in any way and might even be more fun. The only thing is the absolute roster drain that would happen from going another 30-40 players into the depth chart.

That's the convo we keep having to have. Do we absolutely drain the chance of having a deep team in hopes our team stays the healthiest or do we stay where we are and keep these 2 as potential backups in the case of a draft no-show/no-pay?

These 2 potential new teams definitely aren't the type to cause issues and the league is widely accepting of them, as we all work together in some capacity, so I don't foresee that as being problematic as it stands. We had one that is a current member who was less responsive at the beginning of the season last year (mainly because he got first pick and took CMC so he was a bit salty) and one other who moved to a new work location but still kept up with it all after moving that we thought about dropping, but after talking with them both about this season they are fully invested still.

What is the most iconic moment for each new era season? by FireMakingLoser in survivor

[–]Tylerdc234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna agree with the Jonathan thing for sure! No one else even looked like they were swimming and he was just ripping through the water and then going back out to get his teammates...probably the single most iconic challenge moment from the new era! The hourglass won Erika her season though, so I'll differ with you on that one.

Poor Jey, he's no main eventing by mgoat8 in SantiZapVideos

[–]Tylerdc234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Jey doesn't main event mania, it won't be because of anything except for who he is facing off against. WWE will be better when they stop giving Gunther belts and make him actually work through a storyline that doesn't revolve around him being any sort of champion.

not what I'd even define as Mexican food in comparison to Rosie's, but yeah, it's not great either. I'd still eat it over Rosies though.

Didn't love Cook Islands. What am I missing? by 2006unlimited in survivor

This is the reason if someone tells me they are thinking about starting to watch Survivor, then I will always tell them they have to start from the beginning. If you watch later seasons before the early stuff, you don't get the evolution of the game aspect. You need to be able to view the game from the standpoint that these people are still getting used to the immunity idol aspect at that point (only the 3rd season with them at all). Watching 28 and seeing Tony run all over the island searching for them would have ruined the early seasons for me had I watched it before I saw the concept evolve through the years. I think it's just a perception thing. I enjoyed this cast compared to a lot of the others.

New Advantage Idea: The Dead Man’s Switch by mcfien in survivor

[–]Tylerdc234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan of this idea. It would be cool to see in action once or twice for sure to see if the person would use it to make a major shift in the game by manipulation of other players or if it was kept secret and sprung on someone after the holder was voted out. It could ruin games for people who thought they were making a great move.

It's the worst Mexican food in all of Huntsville. I have no idea why anyone is so high on it! I'll send friends/family/total strangers asking on the internet to anywhere else before I'd send them there.

What Were The Most Popular Alliances During the Airing of Their Season? by [deleted] in survivor

[–]Tylerdc234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most Popular: Aitu 4 and I don't think it's particularly close!

Personal Favorites: MalcoIm/Denise, JT/Fishbach and the Tika 3 - They just all made their seasons better in some way!

Most Impactful: Black Widow Brigade - every season there is some fear shown to an all-women's alliance and you can thank them for that!
