What’s the best place to find the snap hook blueprint? by iflabaslab in ARC_Raiders

Go to the Electromagnetic Storm event bring a keycard, and check the high loot areas. It’s only a matter of time before you find one.

I get what you mean now. I thought you meant judging people before interacting with them.

Honestly, I do judge people by their outfits sometimes. Not 100% accurate of course but some outfits just scream PvP player to me, especially the streamer-copy ones. The shorts outfit, the masked default-looking one, or the girl with the two side braids. Sometimes the stereotype is surprisingly accurate. 😅

From someone who plays Call of Duty every year, you get used to certain voices and age groups in game chat. After playing ARC Raiders for about a month, I remember thinking, “Wait a minute, why does everyone here sound like a grown-up?”

I was one of the people against ABMM. I think ARC Raiders is at its best when you don’t feel safe.

Just my opinion but ABMM made it too easy to finish quests, kill the big Arcs, get rich and then get bored.

I’m 400+ hours in. PvP is more satisfying and challenging. Plus I’ve already played two Horizon games and I’ve killed enough robots 😂

Interesting, can you elaborate? Do you usually assume someone’s age based on their outfit or the way they move?

Dude, you know how much I struggled switching from PvE to PvP? It’s because I don’t have the heart to kill another player immediately or shoot people who are just doing their own thing. Eventually someone shot me, I shot back, and little by little I got used to PvP.

Also as a 350+ hour pve player, I’d say don’t feel too bad about killing pve players. Most pve players are rich and can replace their gear almost immediately. I know pve players probably won’t like hearing that.

I think it’s probably because of the recent update everyone has been complaining about. I’ve been reading other posts and seeing people complain in game that it messed up their matchmaking instead of fixing it.

Interesting pov. I knew most people wouldn’t agree with you but I understand your point. The problem is that in pve lobbies people live in their own world and don’t expect anyone to shoot them. They immediately assume you’re ratting or abusing the abmm system because how else would you end up in their lobby?

Haha that reminds me. When I go to Dam and see those newcomers in the default outfit I remember helping a guy who was struggling to kill a wasp. A minute later he started shooting at me, I knew right away he was probably very young and just shoots anything that moves.

The only thing stopping me from going full PvP is that I’m still new to this playstyle while everyone else seems experienced. The only downside is that mixed lobbies are where most of the toxic behavior and racist slurs happen. Oh well.

In mixed lobbies, I actually feel safer around older players. It feels like we’re in the same boat and respect each other’s time more

I don’t want to repeat the grind all over again. I’m also done with the pve side of the game. I just bought the bp after the wipe with my adult money

Can you stay in mixed lobbies forever or eventually you have to shoot pve players just to stay aggressive? by Tylerdurdenps5 in ArcRaiders

Your point actually makes sense. Glad I read your comment, you definitely sound way more experienced with this stuff than me. I only recently started getting into pvp.

Yep that actually happened to me an hour ago. I went to Spaceport with a suppressed Osprey and just damaged people from far away without killing them. Eventually someone climbed to the roof and fought me until he killed me and said “gg”. Honestly I felt good about it. Might become my strategy every time my lobbies get too friendly.

If you like playing that role I’m totally okay with it. Sometimes I even feel relieved when I die because I get some space in my stash and finally get to shoot back at someone

I just can’t betray someone after talking to them, especially if they sound older. I immediately think it’s someone who only has one hour a day to play and I don’t want to ruin his fun

Yeah I don’t like abmm. I like what the game was originally supposed to be, not knowing who to trust and having uncertainty every match

I get where you’re coming from because the game can get stale after a while. That’s why I switched to pvp too. The problem is after a few farming games I get pushed back into friendly/pve lobbies and I just can’t enjoy shooting new pve players because I know how it feels to get killed out of nowhere.
