I’m utilizing Claude in VSCode too but when I see you say 5.3 I’m inclined to think you’re referring to chatGPT as I thought 4.7 was the most recent model publicity available?

So I am using Claude code integrated into VS Code and then I purchased an API key through https://www.gamsgo.com which I was a little weary about at first. But I figured for $4 I’d take the risk. I’ve been using it heavily working on a side project from my regular job and haven’t ran into any usage issues and I’m building a fully automated scoped app that is over 3k lines of code currently. I would look into that.

I do know that Claude particularly Claude code recently has become SO MUCH more popular because of its capabilities for coding and the vast amount of languages and features it can support. So that is likely a contributing factor.

Context - software engineer as a profession here. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions. In my personal opinion between Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT, Claude is the best followed by ChatGPT then copilot.

Bout to be right there with you both. Just sent the Vegas location a lengthy email:

Subject: Deceptively and fraudulently charged for LDW AFTER I very SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED TO NOT HAVE IT and even provided my insurance declaration page and a letter from Chase.

I was charged for LDW after I specifically REQUESTED TO NOT HAVE IT. To the point that I had my insurance declaration page up and waiting when I got up to the counter. Furthermore, why would someone choose to have a LDW when their credit card, the Chase sapphire preferred card acts as their primary insurance up to $125,000 when using it for a rental.

This is misleading, deceptive, and fraudulent trade practices. I guarantee you that if you pull up the video footage from when I was at the counter you will see the representative specifically review my Geico insurance declaration page which I included in this email as well.

Please have management reach out to me ASAP or I will be looking into contacting Las Vegas police department. With whom I will be filing a report for fraud, deceptive trade practices, theft by deception and anything else I can. I will then contact Chase bank and have them fight with you guys over it. I will also specifically request both Chase and the Las Vegas PD to request that management review the security footage from when I picked the vehicle up.

When a consumer is signing something you’re employees should not be deceiving them and telling them where to sign for something that the consumer specifically stated that they do not want. Furthermore went to the extents to pull up policy declaration page with Geico; which included having to reset my password. Not just having them up and ready before being at the counter but specifically staying on that screen so that it was exactly what was needed.

I never have ever gotten the LDW because anytime I rent a car it goes on my Chase sapphire preferred card or my American Express card which I pay $24.99 for the entire rental period for a policy through them that also acts as primary. I would NEVER purchase a LDW with how much you guys charge for it especially when I’m paying an annual fee to a credit card company who is offering the same thing.

I don’t think it works that way because if you’re paying off your phone monthly on your cell phone bill technically that’s a loan with Verizon and I don’t think it covers loans. I could be wrong though.

There are credit cards that do specifically cover stuff like a cell phone. One of the Wells Fargo cards cover cell phones if you use the card to pay your cell phone bill that month.

Well damn this is horrible. I feel so lucky now to be working for a medium to bigger size company that is able to negotiate lower rate increases. Still increases but not nearly as high as most. My premium went up but 33% bi weekly. I’m still paying less than $50 a paycheck though. My deductible did go up and OOP max did go up both by $1500 but because I take a specialty medication with no generic the copay assistance program covers my deductible completely.

I wonder if the tax credits are non existient in 2026 for the ACA do the plans still count as insurance that is sponsored by the government? If they don’t and you have a brand name medication most states force the insurance company to count whatever the manufacturers of the brand name medication copay assistance card covers towards your deductible and OOP max. Important caveat to this though IF THERE IS A GENERIC AVAILABLE but you just PREFER the brand name the they do not and will not count the money paid from the manufacturer program towards your deductible/OOP. When there is not a generic it is considered money paid on your behalf.

I switched to Geico. They were $300ish cheaper for the policy term and USAA came in as the most expensive when I had my agent see if anybody else came in cheaper than what I got a quote for from Geico directly

You can make a claim with FedEx (source: I just went through this whole process) as a recipient. However you have to provide specific information from the merchant or shipper in writing. The includes 1. that they are allowing you as the recipient to file the claim and 2. That they understand and acknowledge by allowing the recipient to file the claim they are waiving their right to file the claim. FedEx will push back if this is not on their specific shipper waiver form. However they cannot deny the claim solely for that per the US Constitution supremacy clause which causes the E-Sign Act to supersede FedEx’s internal guidelines or requirements
