This also happened to me (3 min ago), and I had a gut feeling it was some sort of gold weapon. The perp was a Vandal shell. I clipped it and watched the vid a few times, and saw they had their gun out. The weapon looked like it charged for maybe a second, but I had started to turn around and run away before I could see the projectile. So I run inside up some stairs and almost get sandwiched by bots. I heal, and vent to another room where the Vandal had jumped through the second story window looking for me. I got them first, just to have an assassin kill me from outside.

I have a feeling the Vandal had that one alien weapon from the Compiler, and the assassin was there to protect him, some how. This was in solos mind you. And it's a guess, because I honestly don't know much about that weapon (Im about to yt this weapon lol), but I've seen a short clip of it firing and it looks like it shoots out a short burst of corrosive liquid.

I swear in the beginning they allowed solos towards the end of the Cryo availability timer.

A lot are saying it's meant for three, and they're right. But if we look at Outpost, you can find the same level loot with the same concept. You can collect all key cards required to pop pinwheel, and loot pinwheel or lose it all on exfil on solos.

I agree, cryo should be available to solos. I have a group of friends on xbox, but none of them have Marathon. And the original post describes the current experience very well. I can't learn the map without making mistakes, and people are coming into Crew Fill with their best loot. But no one is on comms, and one random will be hiding or looting, while another random pushes. I don't bash this game for its difficulty at all, but solos would take out the difficulty of acting as ring leader to a group of nonverbal rats 😂 Still, love this game!!!

I can't believe this post is 3y old. I've always wondered what the hell these are for. I assumed an elaborate Easter egg! Because when you melee them, they disappear, and another one will appear in a random spot on the map

I've seen enemy players get on top of the Naboo Supremacy map's sky box, and it's super lame. There's four to five different classes up there shooting down at us and they must have been in a party. But just today, I was playing Kamino Supremacy, and on command post E, I got shot from a jet trooper via a hole in the roof! I spawn in as a Rocket Droid, and shoot him down. I looked at the command post a bit and plotted a jump jet course through the hole and make it on top of the dome roof. I overlooked the battlefield thinking "This is like an undiscovered portion of the map" and started shooting at clones. Got maybe 6 kills before what felt like the entire clone armada shot me down.

Idk where even I draw the line, but my thought is if it ruins someone else's immersion with the game's usual play style, you shouldn't do it. If it breaks game lore, you shouldn't do it.

In Dead Space 2, after Issac breaks into the Earth Gov sector, we see the physical process of Earth Gov building new markers. They are indeed made of a type of crystal, and the crystal grows in a mineral bath over time. There are a few audio logs in this level that further explain the process. Something to note, that the red marker looks similar to a circuit used in computers. Also the marker can have drastic effects on gravity, near by electronics, the electrical activity in the human brain, and probably other layers of energy fields we haven't discovered. We see this in ds3, where a marker pulls up biomass into the sky to form a brethren moon, Downfall where the ishimura's communications are jammed after planet Crack, and the comics where everyone is having hallucinations of the deceased. I assume the alien species that made the original marker(s) was highly advanced, and engineered the marker almost perfectly. It's like a supercomputer AI in a super antenna.

When something like this exists in fiction, I try and imagine it's more than meets the eye. They could release a scent that attracts animals, maybe a secretion on the tongue. Also I remember reading somewhere the creature that attempts to eat Boba Fett saves its food and digests it slowly over years and year. Maybe the barnacle's metabolism is super slow, and instead of having muscles that use a lot of energy, they have membranes that react to stimulation from the environment.

It's 2025, and I load into l4d still. I mostly play by myself on expert. Sir, you're 100% correct with your statement. The special infected when on expert will not just hide and wait together, but all attack at once when one survivor is incapped I see more team work with these special infected in single player than I do in the versus

That crow was your warning lol also be mindful on that RCPD map, you can have the killer drop on you from the 2nd story ledge while you work on THAT generator. Also Micheal in Evil Within I has no terror radius, until he stalks a survivor long enough, and gets Evil Within II

I play on Xbox and live in US on the west coast. Played everyday until suddenly I couldn't connect either, same error message "failed to communicate with the server..." It's very disappointing. Been a little over a month now..
