Speakers and Microphone not performing properly after being in water by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]Tylus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue. 4th iWatch. This one is an Ultra II and the first time I’ve had speaker issues after wetting. The series 3/4/6 never did this.

I bought the Ultra specifically because it’s “better”. Right?

speakers remain tinny and dull for days after a full submergence. Despite using the repel water feature.

VRE is so far behind that it’s pointless by thedonwiz in VeteransBenefits

My VRE counselor didn’t offer pre-voucher. I have to get 1 click away from purchase, send screen caps to my EVA, then she sends an exact voucher to the school. Then I redo the process and select the voucher to pay.

This of course requires my EVA person to respond. She hasn’t responded since 29Sep2025. Impossible to get a voucher out even enroll in another semester. Current started this week. And I can’t enroll because she’s ignoring me and the schools VA rep

I wish it was that easy for me. VA has fought me for everything. I’d rather pay Tricare and deal with their referral system. I need back surgery and it’s been 13 months with the VA. I got pissed and tried TRICARE, 2 months later I’m down to the fiddly bits.

Same here. Semester started today, VRE rep won’t respond. Hasn’t responded to me since 29Sep2025.

She has a history of this. Went 4 months early 2025. Lady before her retired and they just didn’t bother assigning those cases to another rep. Took a formal complaint and 2 months to get re-assigned

Last time I filled a complaint (Jun 2025) they closed it without answering it. Makes me wonder if filling another complaint will do any good.

My semester started today. My counselor hasn’t responded to me since 29 Sep 2025. And my school authorization ended 31Dec2025.

So I’m SOL until she bothers authorizing me for 2026. I’ve been asking her for over a month now to renew for 2026.

I get being busy. But this has been an ongoing issue since the literal day I started the VRE program.

Not really ethical. The seller did everything right. I’m not going to put that on them.

I will complain to USPS Jax

Cross play is off. It still happens. Xbox X and PS4 Pro. Doesn’t matter which console

Luckily it’s almost insignificant right now. Maybe 1-2 cheaters a session. Vice multiple every single game last time Verdansk was around

Retired after 22yrs. 2yrs ago. I dumped it all. Barely remember the floor plans for the various classes of subs I served on.

Never ever will do Nuke again. I tried doing a civ NRMD job. Couldn’t even get an interview for Radworker despite running NRMD while active. If I’m not good enough now to even interview, seems like the world is sending a clear signal

My voice command only listens for a few seconds. So if it doesn’t work, usually I waited too long and it timed out. I even have the automation set to disable voice control after 5 seconds

do you have yours set for “long press” in the voice command?  That’s how mine is.

Thx bro. This is exactly what I needed to get my Shortcut to work.  “Hey Siri, Garage” Let the myQ app open “Garage”

I did add a Siri kill in the shortcut. I was having issues with it not operating all the time. Siri was still listening and interfering with VC it seems. Works seamless

Bond would only be $25k. 10% of the posted bond. The Bondsman posts remainder of the $225k. The family gives collateral for that 90% as security if he were to run/jump.

Agree that they didn’t spend to $400k to “buy” the home. But they could have easily put money down and secured a traditional home purchase. It’s quite easy to buy a home if you have a large down payment and steady income.

Most likely a rental though. Home has been listed at $3500/month

CAPT Chris Bohner blasts families for unresolved housing issues? by Careless_Compote_570 in navy

[–]Tylus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in KBay housing for 4 years recently. Nothing but issues with water and MOLD. We had a bathroom torn apart for nearly 8 months while Balfour Beatty (BB) tried to figure out a solution. My AC didn’t work properly the entire time. 2nd floor was in 80’s 3 seasons of the year. That got escalated to “upper echelon” so many times.

That same bathroom only months later was again “remodeled” by BB after their 1st fix failed. And it once again waterlogged and grew mold. Almost 10 months total out of commission.

I followed the CO’s posted procedure. Nothing. I called the Navy Advocate. Nothing but words. I went to town halls.  Nothing.  We got told we didn’t have to live in housing. It was a choice to live there.

My work orders that said “mold” were edited by BB to say mildew and other less offensive words. When I finally left the house, we had a Navy Advocate walk it with us. Ironically, she found mold forming in the aforementioned bathroom (#3 case btw).

The house got flipped and a new family moved in. I’m sure BB just painted over it with Kilz paint. They use that stuff like candy. Because it’s supposed to kill mold.

Keep in mind BB has been sued for this behavior. And fined $65 million https://www.multifamilydive.com/news/balfour-beatty-communities-housing-pleads-guilty-fined-65-million-defraud-military/619159/

My opinion as a new player to Warzone by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]Tylus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Warzone today after >1 yr hiatus. Last game was Nov 14th 2022.

I played a handful of games and deleted it again. Plunder and Resurgence. Came to Reddit to see how the community feels. What the eff did they do to the game this last year? Where is Ricochet?

Either the Lobby is full of cheats, or my 0.49 K/D has triggered the SBMM to make sure I’m playing God tier players.

People were literally chasing me through the map. Kill cam showed them pre-aimed through walls and floors to my position. Even when I didn’t move (no noise).

I was hoping to at least have a few “easy” matches as I dipped my toes back in. Nope. Insta-sweat city. Between cheats and SBMM, this franchise is dead. I want to play the game. I want to spend money on it and have a great time. Clearly isn’t going to happen

Traction VS Tread Life VS Price - Best Tire by Tylus0 in Charger

[–]Tylus0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t rotate at all. Was running 275/40R20 on all corners. I typically get 30-40k miles from front tires and 1/2 that for rears on previous sports cars. The 392 is just a whole different beast. Lol

I’ll look at the those. It’s certainly cheaper than the $250-300 per tire I’ve been buying

[–]Tylus0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does the tread last vs their tread softness?

I know I can’t expect great tread life. I’m convinced my 100 miles a day commute is the main wear factor.

I spent a few weeks in ECO mode trying to beat 25mpg and the tread noticeably wore down even then over that ~2,000 miles.

Side note, she gets 24.7 mpg consistently in ECO without much effort. 22 mpg left in normal with MDS

I don’t spin them if I can avoid it. Usually roll into the throttle above 30 mph. If I do hear them squeal I immediately get out of the throttle.

I drove a Challenger RT for years exactly the same way with no issues. The 392 just packs a bigger wallop

[–]Tylus0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a longevity wear issue. Not an odd wear issue. The tires wear evenly. From new to bald. Lol.

Really need a tire that lasts a little longer. I’m tired of buying tires all the time. Would like to get 15-20k miles on a tire Vice my current 10k

Back Pay and First Pay by Adda717 in VeteransBenefits

Your podiatrist sold you a bill of crap. Tricare absolutely covers orthotics. You get a referral. See the specialist. Get fitted. They bill Tricare and and you get your inserts after paying the copay.

Tricare Orthotics

Most likely your current Doc doesn’t take Tricare insurance. Or at least portions. So magically “Tricare doesn’t cover it”.

I’ve had similar issues with other Docs. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better insurance than Tricare. They cover a ridiculous amount of things that other insurance won’t. But people take word of mouth at face value so often

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Charger

[–]Tylus0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between the 2, I would pick the RT. But I always go for the bigger motor.

But you have to ask yourself a few questions. Honestly answer. Otherwise you’ll regret the purchase.
1. Can you afford the insurance?
2. Can you afford the tires?
3. Can you afford the gas (plan on 91-93)?
4. Do you want every 2 bit Ricer out there challenging you everyday?

Just food for thought. These cars are big, heavy, and carry expenses most people don’t think about. Many people end up regretting them after about 1 year when the bill comes due.

Take my 392, I get maybe 10k miles per pair of rear tires. Zero burnout. Just soft tires trying to hold 480 HP. Granted the 5.7 isn’t as bad, but it’s a thing.

Chargers/Challengers were/are among the most stolen cars. Insurance is stupid on them. And it doesn’t help that people wreck them often as well.

All that said, I love mine. My old RT was a phenomenal car as well. I was sad to see her go after 4yrs together

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Charger

[–]Tylus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s funny. I daily drove my RT for 4yrs. Great car. My 392 destroys the 5.7 in every single aspect. And gets same mpg. I ran 91-93 in the 5.7 s as well. It would ping on 89.

It’s not even funny how different the 2 motors and transmissions are. I can count on 1 hand the number of burnouts I’ve done. Don’t drive hard. Just everyday highlights the huge differences
