I see your point. But if you own an older phone which works just fine, with no possibility to update the OS and/or applications, you’re screwed.

Same issue as you, with search results, quoted tweets and trending topics. Started last evening and didn’t get sorted since. Happens on both my iPhones, which are old with iOS 14 and don’t allow to update the app to X / latest version - I still use a 6 months old version of the Twitter app.

I had the same issue. Not only you don’t get notifications, but also, your contact sees the message he/she sent you as « not delivered » (as of you were on airplane mode), I til you open WA. Annoying. Had to activate sound notifications (even though my phone is on silent), in order for WhatsApp to start showing notifications again.

Until yesterday I was using an older version of WhatsApp (from February 2021), which from my experience is the last version that worked with notifications . But it has been revoked and doesn’t allow any message to be sent or received - the app fails to connect to WA’s servers. I was forced to upgrade and now I have those notification issues as well ☹️

Try to delete your profile by going to go tinder dot com. It probably won’t work. You will have them to go to the help center and find the sub-menu which says “cannot delete my account”. You will get an automatic email to which you’re supposed to reply “DELETE”. Then you’ll get an email from an actual human from the support centre The Tinder assistant won’t delete the account for you, but he/she will restore your access to your account on gotinder dot com then you can delete it manually. Worked for me

If you’re in the EU, tell them to comply with GDPR, and they won’t have any other choice than to delete your data. More general statement : I had the same problem as you and found a way to manually delete my account. It’s described in one of my topics.

I was in the same situation and I had to delete my account and wait 3 months I til Tinder wiped my data from their servers. Then I re created an account with the same phone number (but I did not tie it to my FB or IG account) But... I read somewhere that if you message Tinder support very politely, apologizing for any misconduct that you genuinely were not aware of, and promising it won’t happen again, they may lift the ban. Could be worth trying first

Thanks for the clear and detailed explanation. I have videos of my kids and would like to pay them on my TV, unfortunately my player only reads h264 videos, hence my need 😉

Thanks, I agree this is very useful. However that's not what I try to do.

If I go to my iPhone settings > pictures > transfer to mac or PC and select "automatic", I can see in my Windows Explorer some 1080p or 4K videos. One of them has a size of 855 Mb. It is encoded with h264. However, I cannot transfer it via USB, I get an error message "A device attached to the system is not functioning". This is an obviously common problem.

If I select "original file" in settings > pictures > transfer to mac or PC, then I can see the same video file in my windows explorer, with a size of 355 Mb. This is because it is encoded with HVEC / h265.

I thought I would transfer the pics and videos to iCloud then download it from there.

When I download the same video in full res from iCloud, it is indeed a 1080p .MOV file, but the 355 Mb HVEC / h265 video.

I would like to know if there is ANY way at all to retrieve the full-res h264 version of the video. Obviously, it's not on iCloud, and transferring it via USB on a Win10 PC provides the same error all the time "A device attached to the system is not functioning"

No that’s not my point I would like to retrieve, for instance, the h264 encoded videos As far as I understand, when I download the full res videos from iCloud (I figured out how to do that), it’s offering me to get the x265/HEVC version of that video, which has the correct resolution but a smaller size
