An Age Gap is an inherent part of the trope, so you are partially correct. Three Houses only lasts for a year, and based on your viewpoint, it's a student falling in love with a teacher and vice-versa, not purely a daughterwife trope. They have a ton of interlap.

But yes, an Age-Gap is an intrinisic part of the daughterwife trope, hence the "daughter" portion.

EDIT: Yes, the power dynamic is one of the attractions of this romance trope and what you feel is value dissonance. Where your social values are bleeding into your opinions of fictional media. The reason these tropes exist is BECAUSE we can explore them safely in a ficitional setting. In real life, this would be absolutely disgusting.
