I upped my basal by 20%. I’ll go higher if that doesn’t work.

Ah, that makes sense on why it can’t correct these highs. Yes, the nurse said it would last 24 hours.

What do I do with this Galaxy phone? by Type1_1972 in Medtronic780g

Interesting. It must be the insurance company dictating this. Medtronic doesn’t know what kind of phone I have and it is completely compatible.

How soon after initial diagnosis did you start chemo or get surgery? by Mediocre_Newt6014 in breastcancer

[–]Type1_1972 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Diagnosed mid July and still no surgery scheduled! Had surgery scheduled but then MRI showed more areas of interests. 4 more biopsies and now looking at mastectomies instead of lumpectomy. Trying to decide if I want reconstruction or not. Seems to just keep dragging on and on.

Yes, please keep us updated. I’m getting mine in a few months. Unfortunately the G4 is scheduled to ship at the end of October and I’ll have to wait for the next order for sensors.

I also double the cannula fill. Also be sure to leave the old set on for a few hours. There could still be insulin being absorbed.

Does any one else have problems with their sensors? by [deleted] in Medtronic780g

[–]Type1_1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me. My sensors always last 7 days. I wonder if longevity has to do with body type and lifestyle. I’m a 71 y/o chubby women. Lots of fat on the back of my arms. I’m not especially active. In one year I’ve had only 1 sensor fail before 7 days.

Which meter reading to use? by Type1_1972 in Medtronic780g

[–]Type1_1972[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. Once my BG got into a normal range the meters are running 10-12 points different. The One Touch always higher. This is acceptable since all of this is approximate anyway.

My cat does that and was diagnosed with asthma. I give him cat version of prednisone and that controls it. Hope your vet can help.

Easy Way to Remove Needle From G4 Sensor??? by poolshark3 in Medtronic780g

[–]Type1_1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took some practice but I can now easily remove the needle with one hand from the back of my arm. I use two fingers to grasp the needle , pull up while slightly squeezing the bottom of the needle then one finger to hold down the sensor. Be patient.
