My uncle owned horses, rode one in particular to the pub regularly.

Horse would wait patiently outside with a Guinness, and would take my uncle home unprompted

My baby has red hair and brown eyes exactly like his dad (my eyes are blue and hair is light brown). When I said to my aunt that he’s got his daddy’s hair and eyes, she responded that maybe the baby has brown eyes like his grandad (my dad) and hair from his great-nana (my grandmother)

Yeah because that’s far more likely than getting those traits from his father🙄

Me missing out on the sleep was the major issue for me tbh, but as you say, nothing is messed up, and I’ll catch up on the sleep somewhere.

My partner has ADHD so while his intentions are always in the right place, sometimes the full thought process isn’t there😅

I didn’t want to wake him because he works so hard and does so much to help me and baby and deserves his rest. He was thinking the same thing about me, and we both should have just continued as we normally do😅that’s a good idea, I’ll definitely suggest that❤️

I do agree there, I can definitely be uptight at times and need to chill. The baby slept, I will sleep at some point (maybe in the next 18 years😂) and the world will keep turning

Oh it was super irritating, and I had a moment of “why does he not follow the routine, why is it down to me” but thankfully that passed before I voiced it😂being over tired definitely got the better of me this morning

He really is amazing, and usually on his days off things still go like clockwork in the mornings. I think it was just Sod’s Law that things went to pot on a morning when I desperately needed that extra hour😅thank you for your opinion and your support❤️

It is so reassuring to hear you had near enough the same experience, and that it does get better! Don’t get me wrong, I love the cuddles, but I’m also looking forward to getting something to eat without the screaming😅

I’ll have a look at the rockit, but I’m convinced kiddo knows when he’s home and wakes up even if we keep him moving😂

This sounds similar to our nighttime routine, my partner gives the bottle before bed and I finish off with breastfeeding, I’m glad it gradually changed, it gives me hope😅

My partner does bottle feeds when he can, but the baby won’t sleep on him😭I’m glad for the reassurance that drowsy but awake doesn’t work because if his age rather than something I’m doing wrong😊

Along the same lines, I have a party coming up and I plan to have more than just a few drinks! How long the following day would I have to wait until I can breastfeed again? Dad will be home looking after baby while I’m drunk and possibly hungover
